The problem I have with AI driving is they can’t make a conscious decision. For example, If it just rained and it dropped below zero and the road froze like a skating rink and the rear wheel drive of my car slides out from behind. I can steer out of it. I don’t believe AI can make a conscious decision with unknowns that happen without notice.

yeah but you only have 2 eyes and they always point forward, the 360º distributed cameras in Teslas form a digital recreation of the car im the surrounding environment having complex 360º 3D understanding of its surroundings , and those cameras can also see in wave lengths that you can't so it sees better at night and in fog than you could, while always being vigilant at everything around it at all times unlike we humans

In the future you only need one TESLA car for a family. The car will automatically drive you to work then drive home by itself, then it does the same thing for your wife and your kid all driving trips can be done in 2 hours. You just have to arrange the time so you don't come to work late.

@@steves2828 Not until Musk figures out that Molten Salt Thorium reactors are the future. I have never heard him mention it. China is testing one now based on the Oak Ridge design of the late 1960’s. It was the nuclear power we should have developed instead of the water cooled reactor. Chernobyl and Fukushima would have never happened had they been cooled with molten salt instead of water. Cost is far less since most of the cost is due to making an enclosure capable of 150 psi. Molten salt reactors use 1 to 2 psi.
