This is reinforced by the fact that a single family can self sustain on about 1.5-2 acres of land if it is worked properly. The u.s. has 2.26 billion acres of land which could therefore sustain about 1-1.5 billion people by that formula. The current u.s. population is only 336 million. If we weren't cramming people into cities and instead had everyone working their own gardens and small farms, we could triple the u.s. population and not want for food. We were never meant to live crammed into close quarters and relying on corporations for our livelihood.

Duh the ice caps are supposed to be melting, we came out of a small ice age roughly 200-250 years ago and the earth will slowly get warmer until the cycle repeats itself. We are not at an extreme low or high in temperature if we look at the earth over a 200 thousand year context. More species have gone extinct before humans were ever on this planet than we have seen. Which is something they have said for 30 years by the way. A bit of “both feet on the ground” common sense…at last ! Give everyone a square mile or kilometre of land, all 8 billion plus humans, how much surface pf out mother earth would be occupied ?
