Apple sucks in how they do business and screw consumers. On their iMacs new software will not work with older iMacs, while software makers update their software to run on the new Apple's ios, this renders any older iMac and any interfaces used obsolete. This is how Apple stays in business with little innovation and planned/forced obsolecence in order to sell more of the same. They do the same with connectors like changing thunderbolt connectors and rendering them not backward compatible. External interfaces that relied on Thunderbolt 2 (which is still superior to USB) is now obsolete, since Apple no longer includes those connectors, and Thunderbolt 4 is no longer backward compatible. It goes on and on...

Elon Musk is a man of many words, but not so many actions. His companies promises are regularly stretched and invariably fail to live up to expectation. It's not that Tesla or Space X aren't capable, it's more that Musk is a hype merchant who doesn't know where to draw the line. If only they tempered the expectations and were more real in their reporting, we might have more respect for them. Tesla have made electric cars acceptable, however the reality of the range and efficiency over time is yet to live up to the expectations generated by Elon Musk. His fears of AI are well known, yet he claims in one interview they have the best and most advanced AI and in the next interview he is claiming it will kill us all. This constant Vacillating between one extreme and another does little to give him any long term credibility and further more makes him less believable as time goes by. Twitter needed change in the long term, but ripping out it's core and claiming nothing will change is disingenuous to the facts we see today. Twitter is not the meeting place it used to be, it's heart is darker, and with less regulation it will not improve. With freedom of speech comes responsibility that you do everything you can to debate, yet too much one way discourse is apparent on the platform. In the end, what I say is of little consequence and can be easily ignored, yet if enough of the little voices like mine say something, then it will be something that can't ignored. Finally, in all of this reporting of what Elon Musk says, we don't hear much from Tim Cook. Before anyone says, well that proves he's wrong, or words to that effect, I'll end by paraphrasing the often used quote from Shakespeare's play Hamlet, 'Elon doth protest too much, methinks!!!'

Elon is a dreamer, and also a genius. I doubt many contest that. The combination of those two attributes is uncommon, but not rare. What is rare about him is that he's also fearless in the face of low odds about his big dreams, and is a very hard, perhaps obsessive worker on his dreams. That's the difference between dreamers and doers. I think history will treat him well.
