Sanders does NOT support DOGE and Sanders should NEVER be trusted. Sanders only agrees with Elon Musk on the most superficial of superficial levels. But their mindsets are entirely different. Saying Sanders agrees with Musk is partially akin to arguing that a skilled plastic surgeon who knows how to safely remove fat from a human being is the same as a butcher merely because both trim fat. But a skilled plastic surgeon wants a healthy, fit patient after the liposuction is complete. Sanders, on the other hand, is worse than a butcher. Sanders' main goal isn't so much to remove fat as it is to sever some major arteries to kill his patient, with cutting fat being just a pretext. Motives, goals, and objectives matter a lot. And Musk wants to cut waste, fraud, abuse from the military budget (a worthy motive), whereas Sanders ultimately wants to see the total destruction of the US military to weaken and destroy America so that it can ultimately be replaced with a Global Marxist Authoritarian Regime.

There're many areas where government spending could be trimmed. For example, I have heard more times than I can recall stories where at the end of the FY, government departments, military and civilian, spend what is left in the budget without regard to actually getting anything for such monies. The sole reason is so they will not have a smaller budget next year.

My Dad worked for a Government Contractor in the 60's. They were visited by an efficiency expert from the DOD. At first he had to fill out a card every hour as to what his output was. He was pretty efficient and turned out several parts an hour. The expert decide he needed more data so it was then fill out the card every half hour. His productivity dropped. The expert then decided the data should be collected every 15 minutes. Once again Dad's productivity dropped. He called a meeting with the manager. He showed how much of a problem Dad was having. Finally they asked Dad why there was a problem. Seems the time it took to fill out the stupid cards was about 5 minutes. Dad pointed out the time loss. I sure hope this isn't the DOGE this time.

Worked as a Estimator in Procurement for a DoD supplier. We had to know the reasonable cost, reasonable markup, reasonable shipping, delivery and tight product specifications. Our team did is all, port to port, request for bids to invoice payments. It ran like buttah. WADC sent out a government spox from Baltimore. "You don't have to do all the work! We will be contracting through Strategic Procurement Services for a fixed 8% markup!" Yeah, SPS bloated up the cost before their 8% markup, then shipped items back and forth across the country to build up shipping, routed thru THREE *non-US* shipping brokers port to port. $P$! We knew if we whistle blew, our blacklisted lives would end, so we said nothing. That was $20T in Pentag0n spending ago. Wait, there's more!! Saw a job with a Pentag0n supplier as a perfect fit. Got the interview, and got the job!! Wait...WTF... My 'employer' was a job shop in IN'DIA. _I got my paycheck from lN'DIA!_ They've penetrated the Pentag0n! Every Pentag0n consultant, contractor and supplier is outsource'd, *offshore'd to lN'DIA.* JEDI! We knew if we whistle blew, our blacklisted lives would end, so we said nothing.

1. They are pretty clear about how it will go. They collect ideas from everywhere, including the public, they put it all up on a website for public debate, then present the best ideas to the president and other policy makers. Plus they can "bully" policy makers simply by putting a large spotlight on the wasteful spending. 2. DOGE is a joke, it's a reference to a cryptocurrency Doge Coin, which Elon played with a few years ago.
