About half of TESLA’s revenue comes from China where it’s sales fell by 19% in Feb. TESLA has the self driving car technology, but it is not practical to offer that feature in N America due to slow, unreliable cell network. Self driven taxies and buses have been broadly used in several cities in China. Evidently Musk is trying to grab a bigger share of that market. Elon Musk ‘should CONTINUE TO talk about robo taxi’, but need to explain why this is TESLA’s future.

Why would Robo Taxis be better than ride share? Who cares if the car doesnt have a driver. It will be a neat thing to try once but at the end of the day the passenger is still just sitting in the back of the car. Hey, the best quarterback in the world just missed a pass....he needs to be axed! So many back seat Musk quarterbacks....so little time! He isn't perfect but I'd rather him steering the vessel that Mary Barra who had enough time (maybe) to miss the ICEberg, but chose hybrids instead. Short term fears (Tesla's sky is falling) is nothing compared to hat's coming for legacy makers who don't have any EVs to compete with Tesla and the Chinese. Anybody who thinks pickups is going to save them is even more fanatical than us Tesla fanboys and girls.
