Germany is an altruistic country. We try to thing of the future and how next generation will have to handle stuff. We don't put the burden on the generation in 20 - 50 years. We aren't lazy! 83 Million people are the 4# GDP by Country in the World. We are willing to work for ouer benifits without destroing the planet for the future generations. Everyone saing "madness to shut down the nuclear power" is a selfish unresposible human. Those reactors where over there lifespan so it is the right thing to shut them down. Some of them eaven have craks in ther buildings. Fun fact: Germany is producing more energie with its Windturbine than it can use! We sell ouer energie to france and pay money for it so ouer powergrid will not get overwellmed. The real problem is the transportation of this energy, Stupit citizen don't want new powerlines going by there houses. Again selfish behaviour, thats stops us from having a better future. Dont blame germany for shutting down the reactors it is 100% the right choise. Germany dosen't need nuclear powerplants. We already produce to much elektrisity. We just need to get rid of generation 50+. They are stopping the future because all they want is a better future for the last 20 years of there lives.

as a business owner myself, i can really understand the roller coaster feeling of business attemp he mentioned where you're almost at the brink of bankruptcy before getting over the hurdles. he is on a bigger playground with bigger stakes on the line. i truly respect him as a peer businessman. he is truly a gutsy warrior that willing to all-in multiple times for his success and his mental preparedness to lose everything. every businessman that goes through all these deserve to be rich and no one is in their right position to demand on how he spend his money or how he does things. i believe not many could handle such high pressures so he deserve to enjoy his fruit of labor.

Those ups and downs of the market are caused by the inevitable shifting of profits being reinvested from expanding production to driving up the value of fictitious capital until it collapses producing an economic crisis. Ford GM and Chrysler are all in the too big to fail category.

@@BenRangel He was making generalisations, basically saying you need to be of a certain age to gain enough relevant life experience to properly understand the people you represent. An 80 yr old's experience in youth doesn't relate that well to current young adults. Not that a particular 80 yr old is incapable of that in depth understanding. For me it would be having demographic targets rather than age limits for representatives. So the demographic of your representatives is similar to the people they represent

The reality is, When we do take action, We must also compete with him, And Elon has become a social construct of the central banks. About the only person who can actually compete wit hElon is Jeff Bezos ( A competition he seems to be loosing.) Th free market model of capitalism allows the market to decide what succeeds and fails, But makes no accommodation for humanity, Just the most efficient and most affordable versions of anything created. Nobody has created anything that meets all of someones needs, Just the computer, That helps each individual decide what their real needs are. So I would add as a caveat, Instead of being inspired by this man, And the hope that technology will save us, We need to become more concerned with helping ourselves, And others around us who's struggle we can understand. Because nobody is coming to save us, Just to sell us things.

Power hungry populists. "anti-nuclear group" " lgqbt" "Blm" "metoo" These populist leaders prey on people's loneliness, lack of sense of community and belonging, and lack of purpose. Lost young souls are the most vulnerable. Similar to a gang/mafia, people flock to these groups to gain an "identity", and to belong to a cause greater than themselves. It gives them an epiphany; a euphoric sense of achievement that they are now part of a cause that will " change the world", despite there being plenty of solid evidence that they are completely wrong. my writing sucks , sorry

true, its mostly due to old, corrupt CDU politicans which sadly were the leaders of the country for the last 16 years. This now has changed. CDU now is the opposition, so a change in policy should soon take place.

CDU politicians were paid 100.000 euros and more per year by RWE and other coal and energy companies to keep the coal industry essential for germans. Its quite disgusting. but sadly the older generations always kept electing CDU. This demographically changed over the last 16 years. Also scandals and corruption were found and covered by news more frequently and couldnt be denied any longer.

The EU forced Lithuania to shut down its nuclear power plant as it joined, saying its reactors were the same as the ones in Chornobyl. Even though that disaster was due to human error AND the fact that the plant in Lithuania had countless hardware and software updates since 1986. The irony is that after the EU took away our energy independence, Belarus built a nuclear power plant just miles away from our border. As a Lithuanian, I gotta say, this interview hits a little too hard.

The sad fact is that Lithuania homes are paying 0.52 euros/KWhr, most it produced by expensive imported LNG. The cost of delivered electricity from their nuke plant was around 0.03 to 0.05/KWhr. The atheists among us seem more ready to die -- strangely since we're certain that the time after our death will be simply the same as the time before our birth. Life is the journey between the two great eternities. I've listened to many interviews with Elon and, although I disagree with him on this or that issue, he always has something to say. Because we don't care. The history teachers in school made us reall all that nonsense. We need to think about today and not put up on a pedastool anybody. People here say Elon is a humble man. Well if he is then im sure he will not want his name in the history books or anywhere if he is so humble. On day two of the war a ukrainian gentleman said Putin had destroyed 5 of the biolabs, which made me research these labs. Just want to know the truth. I am not sure what to believe or who is really causing the death and destruction. My heart goes out to the people of Ukraine having to go through this.

Well, you are probably also very thankfull to communist leader Lenin who painted todays east border of Ukraine, adding parts of Russia to it on the east. And communist leader Stalin, who stole parts of Poland and Czechoslovakia to add you some land on the west. And at the end you are thankfull to your communist leader Chruscov, who just by his humor pinned Krym peninsula to Ukraine. All this is the source of today's war.

It's amazing how the world's wealthiest man is so down to Earth. I mean the dude lives in a damn tiny house. I guess you could make a similar argument for Warren Buffett who still lives in the same house he bought before he was wealthy, but what has he contributed to society other than his old house? Elon isn't afraid to admit his flaws, he has legitimate concerns about humanity going forward, things that go over most people's heads. So to the ones telling him to clean the oceans instead of going to Mars, how about tell Bezos that instead; tell him to focus on making sustainable shipping materials because I've got a ton of bubble wrap envelopes from him that I have to throw away because my recycling center doesn't t take them. Elon is focused on bigger issues. How can anybody dislike this guy? So humble

What has elon musk contributed to society if it hasn't contributed to his wealth. Ow yeah electric is green days the owner of an electric car company. Let's save our planet while I fly endless rockets into space for? Yes his own financial gain. Cobalt is mined by child labour,if he doesn't want to spend his wealth why doesn't he improve the lives of the children he basically knows are dying for his batteries. As is bad while he's pushing for it and creating killer machines which will be eventually turned on us all linked to his network of satellites. He says things he wants you too hear while been part of what he's saying is happening. It's to make himself look sweat and innocent and pump up more people to invest in his controversial schemes. Nuclear power is dirty and dangerous, we have no way of getting rid of spent uranium yet. Its dumped every where causing more global pollution/contamination and cancer than anything ever created and disposed of properly has to be put into excavated caves so what's the carbon footprint left after all that work. And why do I care about going to Mars while people like him/billionaires use there power and influence to charge us through the nose for everyday living while they get richer and we get poorer. None if the food shortage needs to happen or cost hikes.it's the rich like shell who don't pay taxes. You people are idiots. Fkn wake up.

I can see the point of those who want to clean the oceans and have healthier terrain on Earth and see the point of focusing on multi-planetary. First, sustainable energy is the contribution to Earth (from Elon) and second if we can take that to the next level with fusion energy, traveling to Mars and other planets to occupy is supported as well as on Earth energy source that could clean the oceans and improve our terrain.

Yes, absolutely! World leaders have to be in touch with the people they lead, with the present world we live in... AND they also have to be in touch with humanity on a global scale as well as their own personal humanity. Definitely Age and ideology should be considerations in determining competency in governance! Bridging the macrocosm and the microcosm is key to our future. Our relationship with this planet has been so ego -driven and imbalanced, it has put us into our current mess...making our extinction imminent. The final words in this interview are about LOVE and we must begin to LOVE and RESPECT our planet and support the natural world, the seas, the air and the soil... this home is shared and belongs to all of us. It is about PERSONAL HARMONY aka work/purpose and UNIVERSAL HARMONY aka humankind and the earth. ❤ Elon's value to this world far exceeds his net worth❤

I think I had a young family member come to the house to sell home improvement products and he clearly loved the products and believed in the quality of the company so he will be successful. I’m blindfolded somewhat so I can not do a very good job because the company has not been clear with my job description and expectations.
