Elon Musk’s NEW Tesla Semi FINALLY Hitting The Market

Apple is the only other company that can generate the level of excitement that Tesla can for a product. Nonetheless, Tesla has surpassed Apple as the company with the most ardent supporters. The Tesla Semi is a legendary Tesla product, similar to the Tesla Cybertruck. What do these two items have in common? Apart from the fact that they both have absurd Tesla performance figures, they're also not for sale.
This could change for the Cybertruck by 2023, but don't count on it. In the case of the Semi, the release date could be closer than any of us expected. Musk made the announcement on Twitter, which he may or may not own at some point in the future. PepsiCo will be the first company to receive electric trucks after years of anticipation on December 1st.

Well. A. They still aren't making money and reliant on subsidies and B. Their quality control has been subpar for years. Their buyers are affluent gadget-loving early adopters. The larger consumer base is reluctant to gamble on EVs at the moment, but that will change, but they will be less tolerant of overpriced mediocre cars. So, so far, the jury is still out. That being said, assuming they can improve their quality to at least match their competition which has been running rings around them, drop the pricing to actual value, and at the same time, somehow make money without the government's assistance ... They'll be on a good path. I see potential in their IP, fleet purchases, and their charging network (they need to charge for charging and add support for other carmakers). We'll see. I am assuming the semis will be significantly higher in quality than their cheaply made cars. Semi purchasers will not buy crap build quality.

Also, glass is the special type that is much less prone to cracking and auto tire inflation is available… all features to keep the semi on the road longer, thus making it even more profitable for any company than any other semi on the road!

love what Elon is doing and this for the most part all looks great. love the semi but it looks like it uses a custom trailer with an attached container. will it accept a standard load that all other semis carry which is a trailer that you can drop a storage container on? about the cybertruck, i know he uses aerodynamics to get the best gas mileage but it's ugly as fook

technology is quite ffascinating. But not a civil public use product. It can be marketed in where diesel stations are not generally available or remote areas where these difficulties faced. For the defense use or remotely located assembly companies. Where transports are difficults. The transports availablility can inspire people to set up new companies or centres at remo locations. but then electricity must be available at those locations and not necessary diesel services. Finding such market and targets is challenging , as such no one is critic but money can not be spent by genral public. This is what everyone will say , not Just me. One should have a market too for their products.

The main thought is "we speculate". In the real world we first deliver, then we evaluate. As we need to have service ( on the trucks ) with spare parts for the next 10 years(?) we need to anticipate all the changes on the design changes on the "original semi hauler" as technology advances making the future quite complex. The competition out there is going to be fierce. Why not wait 5 years until we evaluate who is the winner? Is Tesla only manufacturing tow trucks? US Army needs trucks for logistics. I hope Navy Seals is expected to build charging stations where US is expected to intervene. The world needs all sorts of trucks. When is Tesla building charging stations in India and Africa? The world is advancing towards EV, maybe battery, but you cannot predict the future, however certain you are about Tesla. The same prediction was done about IBM.

i sat for 2and 3/4 million miles in a dm mack that is off set for good side visability with that thing you don't have good visibility on either side . and whats with the huge windshield the costs to replace windshields will be very expensive and more frequent (you only need a windshield 4or 5 inches high if its that big for visibility your to far away from the windshield . he talks about gross weight but we need a light tare weight .
