Nahom Girma These weren’t failed missions. It is industry practice to discard the rocket after use after delivering the payload to space, recovering the booster was always a secondary mission objective. But once they achieved this, it allows them to drastically reduce the cost of launches. Which they are now taking advantage of to launch their own satellites to provide internet access to remote parts of earth.

I 100% recommend watching the SpaceX documentary on Amazon Prime. NGL I teared up in the end after seeing all of the failures and set backs that Elon and the Space X company persevered through. And we all know that many more adventures and successes are to come, so I'm sure many more documentaries will happen. The question is, when is a good time to do a documentary on Elon's entire journey? Personally, I think it's after he sets the first person on Mars, as that is SpaceX's main and primary assignment.

People have stuff to deal with, and I get the stupid bullshit "if opportunity doesn't knock build a door" yes but where can we build a door if some people have nothing to start building a door. Not everyone gets an opportunity, sometimes nobody has the resources or resources are too hard to get. It's an unfortunate loop that happens to 70% of the population.

I'm so happy right now.. so happy that I found this video, and so happy after having watched it. This is simply beautiful. At first I thought it would be a sort of comedic/meme video about all his achievements after his rough start with the company, but the fact that you used an orchestral version of the song and completely changed the tone of the video from my initial thoughts.. I applaud you for this idea. The editing, the in-sync moments between the video and the song/instrumental, its all so greatly done. I can't miss to comment on videos when they actually give me goosebumps and this is one of them. I also love that you did in fact add a short comedic moment with the original song, and after the first part of the video it just felt right, and it made the comedy so much better after the way people looked at Elon at the start, and to think where he and his companies are now, its just incredible. Too be fair, boeing completely validated the risks with commercial crew. If spacex didn't get a contract, commercial crew would have been a massive failure. Bridenstine spent two years defending boeing's "approach" and downplaying spacex, only for it to back fire on him. Bridenstine is now the nasa administrator responsible for a massive blunder. Traditional cost plus contractors were not capable of working under a fixed cost contract. They cut corners and made huge mistakes. @@JakeCybertreks SolarCity was founded in 2006 by brothers Peter and Lyndon Rive, based on a suggestion for a solar company concept by their cousin, Elon Musk, who was the chairman and helped start the company. I don't think it is 'shelved' after being acquired by Tesla. They are working on improving their products. The solar roof tiles is a pretty impressive, but he has to disrupt the whole roof tile supply chain (which is pretty inneficient) to reduce costs and make it 'affordable'. The design has already changed, they are larger (2 tiles now equal 1) meaning less installation costs, less connection/failure poitns, and other advantages. Yes, he was the lead engineer and designer for many years as the best aerospace engineering designers/leaders did not want to work at SpaceX at first, and those who wanted were not that good (Elon's words). About StarLink, I don't think they can beat fiber in speed and especially latency. The FCC doubts their latency claims. I am ready to be surprised. But for mobile needs (not as in mobile phone, but as boats, planes, cars, buses, farm equipment, military...etc..), and isolated locations, they could become the best solution.

I’ve been working on a small business for 3 years and I finally got my paperwork and products in order then this pandemic hit and I’m flat out of business and waiting to go back to work as a mechanic when I can. But I’m not giving up because of it, if it takes five years to recover completely and start a business from scratch that’s what I’ll do because I want it as much as I want my family I have and the life I live.
