Under Elon Twitters censorship has shifted massively with increased compliance to government requests in countries like Turkey, India and other "more authoritarian" countries. In Turkey he's compiling with 83% of government requests to censor content up from 50% before he bought Twitter. In India the numbers rose to 60-70% of compliance. When it's election time he basically bans every content of any opposition of Erdogan. Think whatever you want but for an "free speech absolutist" this is an absolute joke and far worse than it was before he bought it. He's banning journalists on X who are critical of him like Aaron Rupar (independent journalist), Donie O'Sullivan (CNN), Ryan Max (New York Times), Matt Binder and Micah Lee. Every one of them got banned after criticizing him. But I guess censorship is alright when it goes your way.

It's so frustrating and it makes me angry when people pretend that Donald Trump was a peaceful person and that January 6 was a peaceful gathering and that people on the left stirred up trouble. Musk shows one quote from Trump telling people to be peaceful. He didn't show all the tweets about how Trump claimed the election was stolen and we have to fight to get our country back. Trump made that very clear. Many people were calling for Civil War. People were pissed off, because of what Trump was saying. Which were lies. On January 6 Rudy Guiliani called for "trial by combat". Representative Mo Brooks said that "today is the day American patriots start taking down names and kicking ass". Donald Trump Junior said people needed to "stand up and fight". Trump himself said to march peacefully to the capital and then fight like hell. Sure, the march to the capital would be peaceful and orderly, and then the fighting would break out. He used the word "fight" over 20 times. What did they expect would happen? He was telling people that their country was being stolen from them and if they let that happen they would never get it back again. They had to fight like hell. it was not going to be a peaceful transition. Trump and his people were the ones who whipped people up into an hysterical frenzy. Musk talks about the fake information come from the left but he is so good at spinning the fake information from the right. He doesn't want freedom of speech. He wants freedom to lie.

The best gun laws are in Northern Ireland, where you can own pistols and even get a Concealed Firearms License, but it's subject to the police determining if there's a threat to you. Owning shotguns and bolt action hunting rifles is not what I'm talking about though. I don't know why Rogan said we didn't know about any of this. Hundreds of thousands of us knew what was going on, years before Elon bought Twitter. Just because HE didn't know, doesn't mean none of us did. I was raised in a home of "damned if you do and damned if you don't", so I was already extremely familiar with this type of thing. The incident that Elon spoke about Trump, where they said that what he posted was a "dog whistle" was also a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. I remember one night listening to Trump's speech and him making that comment about Liz Cheney....then the next morning I turned on the news and saw them completely rip that out of context and turn it into him calling for violence against her. Entire panel discussions, show after show.....I was like whoa this is too much. That made me investigate all their other claims and it was the same way with each and every one of them. "Fine people", "dictator", insurrection....it's a shame what they are allowed to get away with knowing some Americans hang on to their every word and trust that they are telling the truth.

SpaceX will go down in history as being as pivotal if not more so to spaceflight than NASA and Roscosmos combined. It's a damn shame they aren't touted as one of the major prides of the American people. 95% of all the cargo to space handled by a single private American company and until now it's been shelved by the mouthpieces of the US government.
