What bothers me is - how did these people get ANY security clearances? In my experience it takes months to get one, usually 3 to 4 but sometimes up to 6 or even 8 depending on the level needed for the position.

I'm reasonably sure no vetting was done at all. I read that Musk wouldn't accept applications from anyone who didn't have a blue check mark acct on his social media site.

Remember security clearances only go back to age 18. My first clearance, at 22 came back before anyone else’s at about 5 weeks. I’m sure it helped that my Dad had a clearance so that background was already done.

@Reed-2big Yes and no. While a person can't get a security clearance before the age of 18, there has to be evidence that Edit: The person existed before. That's a lot easier since the IRS requirement for dependents having SSNs. When I got one many years ago, I was able to provide newspaper pictures of me taken when I was still a child (scout troop, school competitions, etc.)

Congress needs to revoke the executive order, EO, for DOGE, charge Elon with all of the crimes he’s committing. Then revoke his citizenship and deport him. The EO cannot be illegal or violate the constitutionally mandated separation of powers. An EO cannot withhold congressionally authorized funding or overturn a previously approved congressionally-passed, presidentially-signed law. This is why federal judges have issued restraining orders against several of them.
