It was sad. But then I thought about the possibility that the person knocking at the door might be Boq, wanting to hide and avoid Nessarose to avoid whatever their bond could become and also because he feels super guilty and maybe just like the unlucky/trapped in his lies "mere munchkin" as he describe himself to Galinda. Or maybe he knows Elphie's here and desperetely wants to beg her to bring her sister home/out of here and fled. But then Nessarose found him again, they dance, and everything goes on. It became even sadder. Maybe I shouldn't have learnt that Boq and Elphie were childhood friends in the book - amazing vid, btw!

But Elphie's loneliness needed to be focused on, I guess. This video is definitely one of my favourites and something I will never get bored of listening to. Ciara performed this song exceptionally well. And now she's due to play the role of Elsa in Frozen on Broadway, beginning February 18th. So that is definitely going to be interesting. The, I'm just Elphie who you don't know." Could refer to the fact that all the Shiz kids don't know Elphaba and are quick to make assumptions. The other part is obvious, literally shared lyrics.
