It is and it isn't. You have to make your challenge for the Lucha Underground Championship a week in advance, and if you don't yet, you have to defend the Gift of the Gods title just like any other title.

gift of the gods is a title what they normally do is have separate matches for medallions that make up the gift of the gods title. when everyone has one they have a four way and the medals are placed in the title and the winner is the champion. holding the Gift of the Gods Championship entitles the champion to a match for the Lucha Underground Championship at a time of their choosing, provided they give a one-week notice to properly promote such a high profile match. The concept is similar to the WWE Money in the Bank contract that also grants a title match at the winner's option, but unlike Money in the Bank, it does not allow for an immediate championship match. If the Gift of the Gods champion redeems the championship for a Lucha Underground Championship match, the medallions are removed and redistributed to determine the competitors for the now vacant title. The championship is current vacant after previous champion Pentagón Dark cashed it in and won during a television taping on June 26, 2016. Its the close to the same concept of MITB but rather then a case you have medals and a actual championship they are placed in.
