I love the music of Bach's sons. Beautiful music and masterly performed. Thank you for creating and sharing this!

I do too, but you really cannot lump all four together as WF and CPE have almost nothing in common with JC and JCF apart from their name and being brothers/half-brothers.

This is a superb performance of a really excellent piece of music - great playing from the orchestra and soloist and a lovely acoustic as well.

The skillfully executed starts and stops of the impulsive or even fitful empfindsamer Stil--where the composer "took all the liberties ... he needed to"--highlight the rare gift of Els Biesemans for rendering the introspective, shifting moods and eddies in the flow of the music by CPE Bach with nonchalant poise. Hats off to her. Was proud to translate the sleeve note for her Liszt song transcription CD eight years ago.

Excellent performance and recording of music which should be much more appreciated.

Well, the Fritz is much too late for CPE Bach, but the effect is nice nonetheless and Ms. Biesemans is sublime, as usual.

Me too! But you mean Carl Phillip Emmanuel Bach [CPE] or Johann Sebastian Bach [JSB]? Els Biesemans is playing CPE, one of the sons of the "old" Bach. He is a good musician too, .and Y love his compositions! Thank you and have a good day!

@@bemolartaria all of them :D My dad bought me all works of CPE Bach in my birthday by accident because I wanted JS Bach and he didn't know the difference. Since then I love both of them. CPE Bach is such an original composer tries new things and so different yet a little similar to his father. Mozart adored him and me too :D

@@lordchameleon2650 thank You! It’s a lovely story! Good Sunday!

@@lordchameleon2650 It was Haydn who rated CPE Bach as his ‘…only mentor’; there is no evidence that Mozart ‘…adored’ CPE at all, and the music of the two is pretty much at polar opposites of the 18th century Classical period. That said, CPE was a widely respected composer and theoretician (the Versuch), and was certainly highly respected by Mozart, as indeed he was by Haydn and Beethoven as well.
