Well Heir, I go back quite a few years, and remember when youtube was more fun and exciting. Everything since approximately 2012 or so has been sliding more toward the desires of executives. Yet still, I come on to see what I can find and you're one of the gems that are still here. Thank you. There is a really good smoke mod for gunpowder units thats updated for the dlc and amethyst units look amazing with it. There is also a reloading animations mod that is updated. I think these mods make playing empire battles so much more visually stunning.

Love your videos heir started watching u ages ago back when Rome II was the rage and then recently found your videos again and its so refreshing to find a channel thats just enjoying playing a game again. Also quick question I'm trying to get back into total war and i have warhammer 1 and 2 whats different about 3, would u recommend getting dlcs or warhammer 3 first? I think I noticed that diplomacy is a bit different between the two ?

I've been following you since before the Rome 2 release and honestly, you're one of my favorite long-term youtubers. I might not watch you constantly day after day, month after month, but I love your channel so much, it feels cozy, even when you're waging endless wars against pus monsters lol. I kind of miss old KZbins for so many reasons. First is I HATE that KZbin pretty much forces you to make click bait titles to get views. If I see click bait, I don't click it. I love that you're channel is kind of a bastion of old. Just a dude playing games and loving them. I'll try to remember to comment on more videos lol. Also, did I miss something because I miss the "What the crap's going on youtube?"

You are 100% right about the current state of KZbin. Everything must feed the sacred algorithm, and everyone has to make the same kind of content because some machine somewhere has decided it's popular. It's the absolute worst and only serves to make the platform money at the expense of both viewers and content creators. If you're in a position to just make what you want and not worry about it, that can only be a good thing.

Hello Heirofcarthage, I am genuinely curious, why do you never loot settlements, especially those that give 10k or more gold by doing so? I normally loot absolutely everything until half the planet becomes an inhospitable wasteland and I concentrate absolutely everything in 2-3 provinces. Could you explain to me what your strategy is?

I think youtube have kind of been forced into this position, due to adpocolypse, and advertizer boycotts, and press pressure. If it were up to youtube, im sure theyd let you make whatever kind of content you want, and have the algorithm promote popular videos, all user-driven. Just as it was in the 00s and early 10s. But they cant do that anymore, they need to control what becomes popular, they need to micromanage channels, or they risk another massive scandal and ad boycott.
