I've watched a half-dozen of these interviews with 100% attentiveness, just glued to my PC, because of Bobby's candid story-telling demeanor. I often replay segments to make sure I understand exactly what Bobby was conveying. These interviews might be richest source of rock-n-roll history anywhere. That Layla album spent lots of time on my turntable in the 1970s and these interviews brought that album back to the forefront. Bobby's singing voice and playing are soulful.

I was aware of Bobby through the years on the various albums he played on and especially loved his harmony singing.I really enjoy listening to your recounting the inside stories of famous songs ,albums, and people.I love his laugh, and his demeanor, and the obvious love that he and Coco share.I bought a DVD of Johnny Cash's Television Show from I think the summer of 1970,and my favorite part is the Domino's singing ,🎵🎶"IT'S TOO LATE".I love the intensity Bobby injects into his harmonies, the call and response, and piano playing.I watch this rare clip regularly.Bobby's scowling delivery always reminds me of Richard Nixon as a Hippy in a Rock band Love it.God bless you two.

@@BW-CC cheers. Thanks for responding. I always thought Brian got a bad shake from Mick and Keith. No doubt he had issues, but he was a young man. Man, Mick’s getting women pregnant into his 70s and Keith was knee deep into H into his late 30s and missed all kinds of sessions. But they’ve been spinning that “unreliable” line for years. They always forget to mention that from 63 to 67, the Stones were never busier in terms of total shows, albums, singles, etc and that it had caught up with all of them. They all were hurt by it in one way or another. Brian was really done in because mick and Keith did a mick and Keith (use em up and spit em out). Brian sadly wasn’t strong enough. The worst part, rather then celebrate his critical contribution (founded the band, named the band, gave them the blues vide, added all kinds of instrumentation, gave them style, etc) they slag him. I love the Stones but their treatment of Brian and many others (Mick Taylor, Ry, You, Etc etc) cheeses me off Health and happiness guys. Thanks for the many great stories. Love your channel

Well, another day, another beautiful shirt. Actually, there are a lot of comments about Bobby's shirts on these videos, and he does have a wonderful collection of them, but something no one else has yet said (at least from what I've seen) is that it's not really the shirts just by themselves -- Bobby makes the shirts look good just as much as the shirts make him look good. I don't think just anybody could wear these shirts as well as Bobby does. Same thing goes for Chuck Berry -- I always thought he looked great in the shirts he wore, but that plenty of other people wouldn't have been able to pull off the same look. Oh, and Coco... could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask Bobby to do a video talk about the legendary Nicky Hopkins? They both worked on Donovan Essence To Essence and Rolling Stones Exile On Main Street, and perhaps their paths crossed on other occasions as well.

Re: Eric producing PP Arnold's record. PP says it started off with Eric and Barry Gibb producing but then Barry stepped out to join the reunited the Bee Gees, so Eric took over. She speaks about that commencing @5:48 in this link. As for Eric and Bobby not getting paid: I don't know if Bobby was signed to Robert Stigwood at the time, but Barry, PP, and Eric were, so possibly Stigwood's people considered those sessions as falling within their weekly retainer or similar. Interesting that Jim Gordon's arrival was unanticipated. I'd read Keltner was busy touring with Gabor Szabo, though one would expect some notification in advance that an alternative was on his way. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5WaaqFsl7B1nbs
