Sir Elton hasn't lost his touch. I saw him do this song live, on three different occasions. 1973, 75, 76. At three different places. The power is muted slightly, but the feeling is there. It's the audience who look like they are half-dead! Unless in Kiev they're trained to hold their enthusiasm..?

Elton, you are my all time favorite artist, in fact the first record (lp)I ever owned, Your Song, Elton's Greatest Hits was given to me as I entered 6th grade. I can't recall how many endless hours I listened to your music as it swept the cords of my heart. As I grew, so did your music in me. Later, I found older music, "Captain Fantastic & the Brown Dirt Cowboys." and "Yellow Brick Road," Your melodies consumed me. Still to this day, some 30 years later, I find myself drawn like a moth to your flame. I believe it is because of you that I encouraged my children to express themselves through music. All three sing and play instruments in ways I could never express myself. My youngest, a music major, taught herself the piano in the small chapel of the church we belonged to as her older sisters sang in the church praise team; helped with the sound board or computer graphics and lyrics. I still yearn for the day I can see you perform live. You are above all my favorite musician of all time. So much life, so much love, so much wonder is expressed through you for your audience. Heroes come in many form, and you are mine for the imagination and deep connection to emotion you convey through song. Life needs more inspiring individuals as you, Sir Elton John!

I am so fortunate to hear & see this. I looked up to my big sis because she had such a big taste in songs. She played keyboard too. I never thought I'd miss her so much. There is so much more to say. Ultimately, she could hook onto great songs & play them. Recently I began going back to her favorites.
