These two had a liking of each other. A fascination towards each other. To be given the title of 'Sir' by Princess Diana was in itself one Elton's greatest honors.

I'm now in my mid 50. I was a teenager when she got married. I love her instantly. I mean u can scent a person with a good heart. Ever since than, she been my FAVORITE Royal, watched her wedding, n of course what Charles did, ADULTEROUS BEHAVIOR, DIVORCE, N FUNERAL. I HAVE SOME OF MY FAVORITES PICTURE OF HER. EVERYTIME I collected some books, pictures, etc,etc, of her. IT MAKES ME happy to see something she left behind n brings happiness to my heart. There is no one here on earth like her again. RIP LADY DIANA. U WERE LOVED SO MUCH.

I'm amazed he kept it together playing at Ryan White's funeral in 1990, especially considering how close of a bond the two formed in the few years Elton knew him.

@Andrew London I am so sorry for your loss, I find myself in different circumstances I was married for nearly 20 years but felt something wasn’t quite right, so I made the decision to leave as my children were suffering for my mistakes. You see I should have never married in the first place, however I am 51 and back in them days in my family you weren’t gay, so I married and had three beautiful children. I now had the courage to be myself and I think that it was the best decision of my life, I have now been with my wonderful woman for 16 years and she is definitely my soulmate I would be absolutely lost without her, so you telling your story touched me deeply as I know how you feel that you lost your soulmate young and haven’t ever found another because there is only one soulmate to another. Unfortunately you lost yours to soon but I found mine later. I don’t know your age but I am so sorry as you obviously loved her very deeply. This music talks to everyone and people like you and I have different reasons but it still touches the heart ❤️, take care 💕🇦🇺🌈🧚x

She was such the world's beautiful superstar. I was a month from 21yrs old. EVERYONE loved this woman except maybe the queen & Charles. I locked the door, watched the whole thing & cried my ass off. I didn't cry when the Challenger broke up while our whole 3rd grade class watched in the library on the rollaway TV. My teacher left on a stretcher with a heart attack...I can imagine she'd have died on the spot if she saw this.

@justseekingtruth39983 жыл бұрын
I remember clearly watching this, because my father died the day before her. There was no service for him, so watching this I was crying for her and for my father. Watching this now is still very emotional for me. He did an incredible job rewriting that song, and how perfect it is that it was first for Marilyn who died young and then Diana. The monarchy died that day, they just didn't know it. Brits are too accepting of their royals and Diana's death just finally cut the cord. I do believe she was murdered, and not because of Dodi. Because if what she knew about what happens at the palace. And whom it happens with. More and worse than Andrew. Pedophilia was happening before Andrew was even conceived. And sweet Diana knew. I hope to see you precious lady on the other side. 💜

@@justseekingtruth3998 Beautiful well written song. And specially this anthem for Princess Diana . such a memorable tribute; in her memory. I can never forget the sad news that morning. Personally I fel as if I had lost a family member. Lots of people criticised her for what they does not know anything about. They just follow '" we no '' news of the masses. I am not for or against the Royal Family. In fact I'm not interested. But one thing for sure. Princess Diana, She was the Brightest Diamond within that unit. She has passed away leaving two sons and now some hateful individuals are trying to drive a Wedge between them. Diana Princess of Wales is no longer with us in this life. She's sadly missed by around 095% Wor Wide. ENGLAND had surely missed an ENGLISH ROSE. R.I.P. Sleep peacefully.
@justseekingtruth39983 жыл бұрын
@@earlwilliams308 I can't ever forget when she died . . I was at my dad's house when we heard the news. See my dad had died the day before so we went there . And since there was no service, Diana's funeral was doubly hard for me, but cathartic. Grieving my father while listening to the bell tolling. I am grateful for the timing, if she had to go. She was at her prime , so sad. Just coming into her own. I cried so hard watching her funeral no one would have understood. She was the best thing that ever happened to that nasty family and that country. But at least she was around her children long enough to influence them for good. Miss her💔

I have been loved since I was 14 and everyone literally stopped to watch me live on the 20th anniversary of 9/11, I was just 19 years old doing this. I was surprised to see our grieving 9/11 families watching and a few of the families said the victims would have been very proud if they were alive today. I’m now almost 22 and everyone watched me live again as I paid a very emotional tribute to the heroes of United 93. I almost broke down on live and everyone cried seeing my sister comforting me also recorded live and i don’t think I could visit my private united 93 memorial again for sometime

My hat's off to Sir Elton for holding it all together. I just sang "How Great Thou Art" Last Sunday at my dear neices memorial service. I didn't think I could hold up through it all, but my dear family, that likes to sing, stepped in to sing patrs with me to help out. Soooo very grateful.

Elton John is a great performer, he didn't break down, didn't shed a tear. He cried before and after the burial ceremony, how classy is that! Seeing him walk in with his lover Furnish and George Michael too. That was an iconic, unforgettable moment in British history. RIP to Diana.

I will never forget where I was when I first heard of this senseless tragedy. I will never forget her face, her posture...... When I hear the song and think of her life as it was portrayed I wonder if..... I hope that she did..... have a friend or two in her life that allowed her to just be "Diana" for a bit. Always in the spotlight she was. I didn't know anymore about her than I learned as her life progressed on television, but I always liked her. Today..... as a wiser person, I have a deep respect for her and the way she carried herself through the constant spotlight. Grace under pressure.
