The irony is that music saved Elton's life, while his music saved my life and I'm sure so many others as well. Elton's eyesight is suffering, but he continues to give vision to others. God bless you, Elton.

I enjoyed this interview. Been a fan for years and while EJ's material made from the early years to the early '90s is more my preference, I am glad he has weathered the storm, and elated that he has finally found the happiness he sought for so long. Music is my personal saving grace as well, so I can relate to how he feels. Finding real love saved him, too. I am so looking forward to seeing the documentary. I am especially interested in what he wrote in his diaries! I can only imagine his excitement at how his life was evolving during those years. Hoping his eye gets better soon...sending healing prayers his way. May God bless him and the family.

Is modern medicine really so unprofessional and weak that they cannot treat Elton's eyes? I know he had surgery around 2005 to improve his vision. After that, Elton developed inflammation and blisters on his eyes, eventually he lost his vision and the inflammation is still there. This is a shame. His scalp was also damaged by fraudulent doctors, under the condition that his hair would grow out with a hair transplant. I would be so embarrassed in their place. Everyone who did these horrors to Elton should be named!

I feel like Elton was not a fan of this interview and didn't have much interest in being there. They kept trying to pigeon hole him into divisive topics and he didn't allow it. It takes a lot of intelligence to handle interviews the way he just did. I've always liked his music, but was never an invested fan or knew much about the man. Seems like a good guy and pretty self aware of reality. I'm not convinced these films about him and having his life put under the microscope was something he wanted to do. Feels like he was pressured into it or felt like he had to for whatever reason.
