@@Mandalas12 i'm also taking 120 mg of methadone, it helps me stay away from heroin and opium, but methadone is made with opium too, so, after 23 years taking that therapy it becames very similar to an addiction, but it have surely his advantages: no needls, no need to go in shit places, don't have to sleep and live in the street (i lived for 6 years in the streets, all the year, no refuges: wind, rain, spring, autumn winter summer lying at the corner of the street and walking trough the big city to find cash or drugs.. )..Then, with methadone, this problems had been solved: you don't have to find money every day, you can get a job, so i found my direction, and now I live well with my job..I have my house, i continue to put my interest on other pastimes like fly fishing, climbing mountains, painting (that's my job and permits me to live well) and many other things. Life is now much better, but I always have the desire of finish takin methadone, 'cause it causes a very strong addiction in me... For the while..No need to say that i'm happy for you bro!! Keep going straight, day by day.👍

My husband was a high school science teacher. Has an amateur rocket club for students. He took them to competitions in Washington DC. They did pretty good. But the most important things that came out of the experience he taught them to dream. We were married 43 years and Rocketman went to heaven❤️

No our loved ones are not in heaven Jesus said death is like sleep and they are waiting for the resurrection. John 5:28-29 NIV “Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out-those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. Luke 8:51-56 NIV When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother. Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.” They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!” Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened

To me this song is about: ambition which is the sky, my determination is the rocket, Mars is the new environment I find myself in & I'm the rocket man. Sometimes being ambitious has its price & you'll have to burn your fuse up here alone. I miss the earth (being with my family & friends). This song also began with "last night she packed my bags pre-flight"...reminds me of my mother who packed my bags before I left home. I just want to wish everyone success in all your endeavours & make your loved ones proud.

Bernie Taupin, the lyricist for Elton John’s #1 hit “Rocket Man,” had a sudden stoke of genius for the song while driving down an English road in the early 1970s. Dixit Taupin : “With ‘Rocket Man,’ the first two lines came to me when I was driving along, and by the time I’d gotten home, I’d written the song in my head.” “She packed my bags last night, pre-flight Zero hour, 9 a.m.” The first manned mission to the moon 🌖 landed in July 1969, and the last one landed back on Earth 🌎 in December 1972. INTERESTINGLY, within that timeframe, three iconic pieces about travelling the stars ✨ were issued : David Bowie’s “Space Oddity”(1969), Harry Nilsson’s “Spaceman” (1972) and Elton John’s “Rocket Man” (1972). Taupin explained : “People identify [‘Rocket Man’], unfortunately, with David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity.’ But it was actually inspired by a story by Ray Bradbury, from his book of science fiction short stories called ‘The Illustrated Man.’ In that book, there was A STORY CALLED ‘THE ROCKET MAN,’ which was about how astronauts in the future would become sort of an everyday job. SO I KIND OF TOOK THAT IDEA AND RAN WITH THAT.” The musical part came quickly for Elton John, who spent January 1972 at the CHÂTEAU D’HÉROUVILLE in 🇫🇷 France with Taupin and his band to cut “Honky Chateau”*… … AND THE REST IS HISTORY‼️ 💙✨💜 * HONKY CHÂTEAU is the NICKNAME that was given to the Château d’Hérouville. It was COINED by none other than American singer-songwriter Rex Foster, the first artist to record an album - “Roads of Tomorrow” (1971) - at the Château in 1969-70❗️

Same here munchkins! Back when music was superb. The whole family enjoyed listening, singing along, dancing to top of the pops. Lyrics were clean for all and everything in a song was arranged and amazing... I was always excited by Elton's colourful album covers👌👌😍😍 Do you remember Skyline Pigeon?
