This song is so underrated. Surprised it never became a real big hit.

Criminally underrated song. Should've been a top 20 hit at least.

This is almost a back catalogue song from Elton John's sublime playlist. Never hear it on the radio and very rarely see it on his greatest albums. Two words 'astoundingly criminal'.

I heard it on Sirius xm ‘80’s on 8’

It did make the pop top 40 in the U.S. (peaking at no. 39) .... so you do sometimes hear it on Sirius, and Pandora, or I Heart Music, as yungalucard notes above me ....

I have say without hesitation, my favourite Elton John song. Lyrically, one the song to listen to, every word.

I wanted to revisit the 21@33 album while I studied tonight and I'm so glad I did. Elton has so many great albums that even albums like this can get swept under the rug and this song is just heavenly. It really does deserve more attention

Can't believe this only reached no 39 in the UK charts. I love this, one of his best in my opinion

One of many brilliant albums (all of them) by musical genius Elton John and the poet Bernie Taupin etc. I still remember the location of scratches and the song order on the lp's I had decades ago. Says something about the quality. All of the songs on this album are unforgettable.

I discovered this song recently, so I showed it to my mother, and she loved it, she says she gets emotional when she listens to the choir. Unfortunately it's such an overlooked song

Been looking for this song for 50 years. I had it on an old 8 track. Yard sale find for 10 cents. Thought I would give it another try and by George I got it.

He should have put this song on more of his compilation albums ... Yeah, it's on 'Jewel Box', but that set costs $135.00 .... and it's on an old 1982 compilation entitled 'Love Songs', but they punched holes in that album when the 1996 version of 'Love Songs' was issued .... I'll never get tired of listening to this song .....

Good song. Remember hearing this on the radio in 1980. Not a big hit, but still the best song on an otherwise mediocre ( by Elton's standards) album.

bellissima musica, poi chiaramente la voce completa la meraviglia della musica quando si tratta di un calibro come lui...pensate cosa sarebbe stata per esempio la musica dei queen senza il grande Freddie Mercury....

I love this song but don't remember it as a single in New Zealand. Maybe wrong. I have a pressing of Benny and the Jets that is spelt wrong Ronnie Friend... It has Bebby and the Jets. Wonder if these spelling mistakes are worth something? Love Elton, even through the electronic and disco stages. Love the Thom Bell Sessions. Worth a listen
