Elton John - Sydney - January 18 2023

This video is more about the experience rather than individual songs. For the first half of the concert, I was too far way to capture any worthwhile footage, just a tiny head appearing above a grand piano. I did however, video “Tiny Dancer” (00:40) in full. For the second half of the concert, I was much closer, but the crowd surge and pouring rain severely limited any usable footage I could get. I’ve included partial recordings of “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” (07:05) and “Your Song” (09:53).
Naturally, I’m disappointed that I couldn’t get better footage of Sir Elton John’s last ever Sydney concert but I’m certainly glad I went and saw him one final time. His music was a large part of my youth.

Nice. I saw him many times in the 80s and he was the best showman.

Always a great showman. I knew I had to see him one last time. I was hoping for better video footage particularly with the last songs in his performance but it wasn't to be. Still, I have plenty of memories.
