Your channel is absolutely brilliant. I'm a synth player/guitarist from Texas... are you right-handed? I pick up instruments very easily and believe I could also the hurdy gurdy (especially as a keyboardist) but not so sure it would be easy playing the keys solely with my left hand!
@michalina_malisz9 жыл бұрын
+Andre Hollins Thank you ^_^ Yes, I'm right-handed and right-handed people play the keys with left hand, seems a bit hard, but it really isn't. :)

+helvetion Lira korbowa robi się popularna, zanim Cię znalazłem przebrnąłem przez mase ciekwych aranżacji i muszę przyznać, że świetnie Ci to wychodzi. Ponieważ sam chciałbym rozpocząć naukę gry na lirze korbowej musze spytać, ile kosztowała Twoje? Są to dosyć drogie instrumenty a Twoja wygląda i brzmi świetnie.
@Plevell9 жыл бұрын
+Andre Hollins well as a left-handed gamer (musician :D ) i can say fingers on my right hand are much faster and more agile than those on the left one so for some people it might work for instruments just as good as for my "keyboard hand"

How do those little noises work on the hurdy gurdy? Not the melody ones, the ones slightly high pitched :) Great cover btw \m/
@michalina_malisz9 жыл бұрын
Hurdy gurdy has different types of strings, one of them is trompette (chien, dog). When you twirl (I don't know if it's right word) the crank properly, trompette emits this buzzing sound, which is often considered as a horrible noise. ;)
@levischorpioen7 жыл бұрын
Really? I think it's the most beautiful thing about the hurdy. It's perhaps the only instrument that produces 3 sounds simultaneously. I've always loved that it's a mix of percussion (the clicking of the keys) with the melody of the strings and the drone of the crank buzzing the trompette.

Good job! So you recorded the trumpette seperate - I just first thougt, you only works on the melody - till I read your desription. ;o) Doesn't it work good together to film it once - or is it, because it is easier, to do it seperate? (Well - it is easy for me to write smart questions... my Hurdy Gurdy rest in my kitchen and waits for the next Hurdy Gurdy Course to be played again. Shame on me...)
@michalina_malisz9 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you! :) I record trompette separately, because in Eluvietie songs it is too difficult for me to play it along with the melody. But I can tell you I recorded it without cutting, the whole part at one take. ;) Anyway, this method - recording separately - is not unjustified. The more I listen to Eluveitie, the more I’m convinced that they use trompette like kind of individual instrument - its parts are not really the typical ones. Also I’ve never seen Anna using chien on stage in other situations, than when it has an individual part (like in “Tegernako”, “Kingdom Come Undone” or “Uprising”), nor have I seen her playing the melody and trompette string together live, even though I’ve done a lot of research. They are recorded separately, too. There are some studio videos of Eluveitie, where Anna records only the melody, but they can surely be edited - however, there is this one video where Anna shows separate tracks of some instruments in “Luxtos”. She turns on hurdy gurdy track and there’s only the melody. And that’s why I don’t find it necessary to record the chien and melody together in my covers of Eluveitie songs. I take your lack of awareness for that trompette work of mine as a compliment, of course, for I assume it’s because I played it so accurately. ;)))) Have a nice evening, cheers!
@hebusvontroy9 жыл бұрын
helvetion Now I have to thank you for your answer. ;-)I'm thinking of... could it be possible, to film also your trompette part - and than cut them together in one video with split screen..?I'm interested in to see your trompette-style. Looking forward to more videos. :-)

Why? Because of Eluveitie, of course! ;) I ordered my own hurdy gurdy and learnt how this instrument works, what makes it work propely. Then I started to reconstruct some easier hg parts from Eluveitie songs. Many long hours of practising still before me, but I couln't be happier about that. : D
