“’A Vagabond's Heart’ is based on a very old idea that goes way back to the early days of ELVELLON. We finally got back to the material during the songwriting for Ascending in Synergy because we knew we had a little treasure there.
Early on, even before the lyrics were written, many people around us saw it as a potential first single. Now, with the final lyrics and the song's theme of ‘finding yourself’ being so important to the whole album and the album title, we've wholeheartedly agreed.”

What I like most about this video is that despite being simple, it conveys the feeling of a band that is passionate about what it does, that the members are first and foremost good friends and are happy to do what they like together. I guess the band is tired of the Nightwish comparisons made, but its really more of a compliment. There were so many bands who tried to capture the magic of Holopainens compositions, but they all failed. However, THIS song has the spark. It is just great songwriting that comes from the soul.

Oh WOW. It's love at first bar for this utterly GLORIOUS soaring Symphonic Metal number. As well as having all the qualities you'd expect of this subgenre, (musicianship, production etc) this is simply an excellent song. It sent me to the heavens and soothed my soul. This is my first listening to this band. It really gives me massive nightwish vibes. But not in an aggravating or copycat way, but just that its just as well written and has a similar sound. Plus the lead singer really sounds like Floor alot to me, and I think she even favors her or really her sister, just a little haha. Anyone else notice this or am I just way out in left field here?
