I'm not actually a fan of Nykthos in my Elves: I usually wish I had a straight green source instead when I see it It requires you already have a board presence to net extra mana from it, which can often already win with without Nykthos, splitting its effective times between "win" and "win more", the latter of which is unnecessary I think it's actually slightly negative to include. Compared to Westvale in the colorless land slot, which is an alternative win condition that kills Jund, I'd rather run a second Westvale lol but tbh one colorless land is enough.

the colorless lands suck because sometimes you get a 1 lander that would otherwise be fine, and nykthos is only a win-more

In M4G3, you could have killed after using CoCo. From your hand at 1:35:04, tap nettle sentinel+token+visionary for GGG, cast Ezuri, untap nettle sentinel, play forest tap Ezuri+Heritage Druid+any of the 2 power guys for GGG, tap Forest + Llanowar Elves for GG, for GGGGG total overrun and swing with 2 5/5's for exactly leathal Luckily it didn't matter, but just thought I'd mention this.

I paused the video at coco to think about it and came up with 19 damage if he took devoted druid. Nettle+Heritage+Dwynen nets you 1 mana each time, you can overrun with 4 attackers Was sad to see him not pause and think it through

I think you can do even better than that. You can play both Dwynen's Elite before Ezuri and you can attack with 3 of the 2/2's and not even need the Forest as the Dwynen's each net you 1 mana. So it looks like you can do 15 actually.

Matt Szwejkowski I personally run this deck and it is amazing. No chords which is a slight draw back but 2 lead the stampede mb and 2 sb always keeps your hand full with gas, and with essentially 8 CoCo's with BBE, you have twice as many explosive turns when you're ahead and help you rebuild when behind

Max Pheby Monument is way, WAY too slow. At turn 3 you should vomit most (if not all) of the cards in your hand. Playing ramping artifact is pretty much opposite of your usual plan.

What is the thought process of keeling Devoted Druid vs Nettle Sentinel against Jund if the Vizier combo is gone post board? Would like to know :)

Aaron Rodriguez 2x devoted druid + Ezuri is also infinite. You make 2 mana, untap, make 2, tap a land and activate. The activation lets you untap each druid 3 more times for 6 mana, 5 of which is another activation. Its also great with chord and acceleration in general.

Christopher Costello This deck wants at least 30-32 elves and no more than 7-11 non elf cards and those are taken by 4 Co Co and 4 Chord. This deck needs to be centered around Ezuri top end and keeping pressure. You can't do that with a handful of arbor elves and utopia sprawl. Just adds more bad variance.

I prefer BG version of elves, have better option for the bad matchup in the sideboard, like thougtseize and abrupt decay and chord/CoCo into Shaman of the pack is always great.

BG elves is also played in modern. It uses Shaman of the Pack and is grindier. Also there are new jund lists with Bloodbraid Elves putting up decent results.

We do t play hoof because we don't have access to natural order , a chord for hoof is the same cost as an Ezuri chord + an overrun. You also get to chord for Ezuri EOT something that hoof can't do.

No white doesn't just mean bo combo, it also means no powerful sideboatd hate like Rest in Peace and Stony Silence. Black does offer its own sideboard options, but in term of narrow hate like that it's definitely worse.

Seems like the deck over-performed a bit during some of these games, especially not running into more decks packing board sweepers - Wrath, Damnation, Supreme Verdict, Marsh Casualties, Pyroclasm, etc. Seems very middle of the pack.
