Heartbreaking to see Billington chairbound and barely verbal or mobile. Poor fella didn't have the triumphant and strong ending to his life that someone so vibrant should have. As someone with neuropathy of no currently-known cause, Dynamite Kid's story has my full sympathy. Spinal and/or neurological problems really affect one's quality of life, and can be notoriously difficult and delicate to treat.

Probably because he was a scumbag and nobody gave a shit except for hardcore marks. Yeah he was great in the ring. Innovative and captivating. But what a Piece of trash. When you jam a gun into your pregnant wife's belly and threaten to abort your own baby and kill her in the process, A stroke almost seems like not just karma but a spiritual intervention. Rest in piss tom billington.

@@willshad Hogan has jobbed billions of times in his career, wtf are you on? LOL! The whole thing with Hogan not jobbing during his main WWF run, was because Vince McMahon had a rule, "Hogan MUST pose". Back then, he also had another rule where you had to send the crowd home happy. So you wouldnt see Hogan lose because of those rules. If you think Hogan gave a flip about winning or losing fake scripted wrestling matches, you are nutz. Hogan cared about getting that check.

0:33 Bret Hart and Bad News Brown/Allen both used the exact words when describing the Dynamite Kid “Dynamite Kid is pound for pound the best wrestler ever and no one even comes close to Tommy/Tom” in shoot interviews. Bad News Brown said “I wish people in WWF got to Dynamite Kid at his best as by the time he got WWF injuries were catching up with him. I watched a collection of Dynamite Kid matches on video the other month and I forgot just how good he was. I knew he was good but over time you just forget and when I saw the video I was just simply in awe of how good he was. Chris Benoit who I see as a son is the only one who wrestles like Tommy and Chris is the person wrestling at the moment but he’s still not as good as Tommy though I see Chris as my number two in the list of best wrestlers ever.” Even though Stone Cold Steve Austin is my favourite wrestler with Undertaker as number two I see Dynamite Kid as the best in ring wrestler ever, he was simply amazing and ahead of his time. 1:03 that Dynamite Kid Vs Tiger Mask clip you show from 82/83 is from an absolutely amazing match with a jumping tombstone on the concrete outside the ring and blew me away when I first saw it and unlike today where they do big moves which don’t mean anything, every move in that match means something which makes it so much better than anything you’ll see today!

@Wrestle Me Surprised Pete hadn't heard of the British Bulldogs as a tag team! If you watch that match again, do you notice the balding guy in the white shirt and blue pants at 0:08? He mysteriously holds Brutus Beefcake back at the end of the match in order to stop him from breaking the pin. The ref then counts the 3 pretty quickly. Wonder if this had to do with time constraints? And I'm with Marc on this one, even as a kid who thought wrestling was real, I felt sorry for Bobby Heenan at the end.

to be fair this was only the second wrestling show Pete had ever seen.
