Im happy to find this page. Here fans love Elvis as much as I do. I feel Elvis like a family member. Its so painful to hear about his last years and months and how people - not only Col Parker -but all around him, his so called friends taking advantage of him. I heard when people are close to their death, they know. :( My mom knew and told me and it was sudden. Thank you for the readings. God bless.

It is the exact colour and pattern that our hospital gowns are in England 😂. So glad your not sick but I just had to say. I have the exact same Elvis mug as you and the tiny one of the exact mug 😂. I really don't want this book to end. I think that we have all found a lot out about Elvis in this book. Thank you Kathy for being so honest. Great song Joe ❤ you are very talented. Of course she went back for the money. But not solely, from the way she wrote it, she was torn about going back to work with him after what had happened / the way it hurt her dignity and her feelings how he spoke to her and the others on stage. But I think it would be hard for her to find the same kind of income

I appreciate your insight and analysis and also your understanding,. I live with a person who for medical reasons has to rely on strong medications and I can see him switch personallity not long after he has taken them. It's like he becomes less mature and less considerate of others. When not on medication he's the sweetest. I can understand that Elvis's character could have been unstable due to pain and medications.

good evening, I wanted to add some information about Elvis' health that is often underestimated. Elvis, as you know, suffered from a serious form of glaucoma for which there was no treatment in those years and was progressively becoming blind. If you watch the videos of his concerts you will see that he had himself brought on stage and had the layout of the whole scene explained to him well. He also needed help for moving (he often looked up to find relief, closing his eyes... but the pressure in his eye was strong and I think he continued to "cure" it with steroid injections in his eyes!). I cannot imagine the physical pain, but I know well the suffering for a verdict of blindness that leads you to be dependent on everyone. and for a man like him who built a monumental career and always took care of others... now having to ask for help even for small things could be devastating on a psychological level. I do not think he ever confessed this diagnosis to his collaborators, probably they only knew that he had problems with his eyesight and with the lights. his doctors had certainly informed him of what the final outcome would be shortly. this does not excuse the anger and rudeness, but perhaps it can help to understand why after a request for help to Kathy, even if not specific, in which she preferred not to be involved again... he must have felt abandoned by what could have been a true friend. perhaps he also suffered from the fact that now he could no longer be the most desirable man and seeing her with other younger and healthier companions will have devastated him. I do not know if this is the case, but I suffer from the same pathology and the future terrifies me so I can understand how desperate he felt. thank you very much
@LadyCapricorn812 күн бұрын
I have read he had secondary glaucoma, not primary. Secondary is caused by something else, not a disease in itself. Heard it was caused by his hair dye, that he used on his brows, and eyelashes. He should not have put dye anywhere near his eyes.
@lovenothate11112 күн бұрын
It was the light and flashes on stage that caused it, read it somewhere...
@ponsbabs12 күн бұрын
@@LadyCapricorn8I don't think that's correct because glaucoma can get worse with the use of cosmetics, but they are not the cause. He had an eye pressure over 80, when the average is 11/12. Unfortunately his pathology was very serious. There is a phone call to a friend, I don't remember who it is, in which Elvis says that it was more serious than he thought

He could have found out more about his health! Pain can make you angry especially if it's constant. If he were overly medicated he probably wouldn't have been so angry! He has no one he can trust, and he's very sick. Suffering from extreme constant pain is the most likely cause of his personality change! He has so many problems even if we just go by his autopsy report! Before one has permanent damage to the heart muscle itself, he could having chest pain, not to mention his enlarged heart. Then of course his colon pain and liver problems. We have the benefit of hindsight, but unless you have suffered from those problems, you can have empathy but not understanding.

Mitte! I think it would be impossible to pinpoint any one thing that caused Elvis’ mood swings and temperament. He has so may responsibilities and people that depended on him. He loved and missed Lisa when she wasn’t with him. He had health issues that people, even his inner circle didn’t understand. Treatments were available as they are today. We do know his glaucoma caused terrible headaches. He had many people around him, but didn’t always know who he could really trust. P kept taking him to court for more money all the time. He gave her mostly what she asked because he feared losing Lisa. Poor behavior is never acceptable, but as he once said, no one knows about anyone unless they’ve walked in the other man’s shoes. I know that’s not a direct quote, but we all know what he meant. He could have an entourage snd friends around him and still feel alone. We can only speculate Elvis’ thought and feelings. We all still love him anyway. Thank you for reading. ❤

Thanks for the video, Joe. Dr. Tennant, the physician who had access to Elvis' medical records and wrote a book and medical paper about his health conditions, wrote that Elvis had all of the signs and symptoms of Autoimmune Inflammatory Syndrome. It's a condition that is cause by repeated head trauma. It causes abnormalities in the immune system (among other things)- which Dr. Tennant said Elvis had, looking at his lab results, and it causes erratic behavior.

In one of the books, he did go into the hospital 3 times in 1975, with real liver problems that were causing bloating, and was given steroids for the bloating. Sonny West said, "he told us he had liver problems, but he just wanted more drugs" His mother had Liver problems that led to Hepatitis. In fact his wasn't filtering out toxins, his face and hands bloated. Also as Larry Geller claimed in that same year, Elvis had a light heart attack in his presence and told him not to tell anyone. What a very, very frustrated with Priscilla never mentioned any of this she made it out. He was a drug addict And yes, he was hooked on drugs, but did it get worse because he knew his body was shutting down and he had to stop thinking about it and he had to keep working. He was in the hospital a lot I know 1973 1972. I don’t know about 71. Only one person said that Elvis apologized and that was Marty Lacker. Marty was Jewish and he'd made a remark that to. Marty was a slur to his Jewish roots. ( I think Vernons influence was there) Marty was hurt and Quit. Elvis called Marty a few weeks later to come to Graceland to talk. He gave Marty a watch, but Marty told him how hurt he was, and Elvis apologized. As far as Marty knew that's the Only time Elvis ever apologized to anyone. This came from an interview I listened to on Joe Klein's UTube podcast where he interviewed most of the MM guys and a few others that knew Elvis, after Elvis died.

EP said 'I'm sorry' a lot to Lucy in her book, in general conversation and to others. I have heard Naomi Judd say in two different interviews she was a back up singer for Elvis and a nurse for Elvis. 🤔 She left the band as she got pregnant, had a child, got divorced and couldn't live that life raising a child alone. So she moved to CA and went to nursing school. Then a few years later she said EP called her to be his nurse for about a month. 🤔 Why I concluded Wynonna could possibly be EP's child.

I don't know yet what you all have to say ..I will hear after I wrote this: are you doing it or want you to consider to put the books...Lucy and Kathy to compare....the time line with whom Elvis was..Lucy or Kathy. Example...he calls Lucy he needs her and they meet in a hotel or whatever.. he called her from Graceland? While he is on tour, he is with Kathy. With Priscilla he doesn't want to sleep because she is a mother as I think Priscilla said something like that as if he saw the girl he married to and a mother in a different perspective. But Lucy was also a mother. So Elvis possible maybe was not honest. So... He did not like the girls coming with them on tour so Priscilla stayed let's say...at home and meanwhile Elvis is with several woman. To each of them giving the feeling they are special and or the only one for him?

Poor Elvis was a complicated and troubled man. There is so much we don't know or understand. I personally do not put much stock in so many of the things that have been said about him. Elvis had too many people around him at all times, I think they drove him crazy at times. They thought they knew him so well, but they did not really understand him at all. I also feel he should have sold Graceland in the early 60's. He should have had a home that was much more secluded, and hidden away near Memphis, way outside of the city. It seems like he wanted peace in his life, but did not know how to find it.

Elvis Presley was a wonderful wonderful person, but he was flawed like all of us. He was prone to get angry and he took a lot of prescription medication in my opinion mostly because it was health and then it caused bad health issues and then you took even more. So I guess I’m asking you what you don’t believe?

Baz movie ... I hated it ... awful don't agree with the representation of ELVIS in this movie don't think the actor who played had the essence of Elvis in any way shape or form. However you do an excellent job of imitating the voice of ELVIS, enjoy ur reading and commentary.

I did not like it either. I do not like Baz movies. He was the wrong director for that movie.

Please don't wear this shirt again (Just solid colors would be good). This one looks like some hospital gown!

It actually does look like a hospital gown 😮 But it's also too bright so it's distracting for the viewer and the pattern could give you a migraine! Not meaning anything bad by saying this., it's just very distracting! Darker colours are more flattering anyway...

If Elvis were here I think he’d say something to you like “Fella, if you love me then respect my woman ‘Cilla.”

Her view has been spread about plenty already, don't need more of Prissy badmouthing Elvis just to get even on someone who is dead and can't defend themselves! She is a narcissist anyway who only ever cared about herself and her own career and reputation. She didn't even love the child she had with Elvis so how is it her view is so superior in your eyes? Her joining a dangerous cult and bringing her grieving daughter into it says it all!
