This is so so sad. I feel so bad for what he had to go through. Especially trying to pay everybody and make everybody happy and in pain the whole time. But you never would have known by watching and listening to him. It's all so sad, but he's not suffering anymore. Thank God. Never knew this. 😢😢❤❤

Mitte Joe, I’m sure this was hard for you to read. I was difficult to listen knowing Elvis was nearing his end. Kathy has a right to be upset after some things he’d said, but she had a forgiving heart. She probably did return to making a living, yet she was the one he’d needed and confided in during his last days. She listened and comforted him as best she could. I was shocked and saddened by the callousness of the men that refused to help. No loyalty there. I like you Joe, wondered where Ginger was a lot of the time. She didn’t seem very attentive to Elvis. I think she was too young and immature to cope with an older, sick Elvis. That was so insensitive. In some ways, she appeared a bit cold and reserved to be aware of or care about his needs. I haven’t read her book. So I don’t really know much, other than the way she appeared. Elvis truly had few friends that really cared about him as a man, and not a star. That makes me so sad for him. Money and fame did not provide happiness for him. He loved his fans and gave his all until the end. He’ll never be forgotten. He brought such joy to so many people. Love him forever.❤

Elvis knew the bodyguards were just paid employees. He found out who were his true friends in the end. I have no doubt Elvis clung to God more than ever in his life, and I think he just Finally let go, dreaming he would see his mother and his twin again. I like to think that. I appreciate you Joe.

Hmm, interesting that Kathy was with Elvis at the end and very forthcoming about Ginger. Billy and Jo Smith have repeatedly said Ginger was on the out at the end; and no way Elvis wanted to marry her. On Gladys’ age discrepancy: I read she falsely gave her age 4 years younger on her marriage certificate to look younger than Vernon.

Mitte Kathy. So sad to see the book end. I believe they knew there was love between them. Oh a happier note no one could and still can't touch Elvis or his acknowledgement s. The man was awesome and his music will always be, he lives within our heart's forever. I love this man still today, i have all my life really. Heck, i was gonna grow up and marry him, my childhood dream. I was crushed when he married Priscilla. Don't feel bad Joe, I cry quite often about Elvis. I have been to Graceland twice, will be going back in April. There is a wonderful feeling there it seems I love it there. To walk in his footsteps or just where he has been really touches my heart. Heartbreaking to see how he was treated from the one's he trusted. It breaks my heart. I have heard from Billy and Jo said Elvis was furious with Ginger and they had a terrible fight before he died. She refused to go on the tour and he told Billy he thought she was having an affair with someone. In Lisa's book she says Ginger would just leave and go off and not tell anybody. And he was always saying "Where is Ginger". I am so glad Kathy was there for Elvis. The emptiness that Elvis felt might have been what a surviving twin might feel all their life. Thanks Joe, sad ending. Makes me Love Elvis more.

I read an article online of 3 doctors that reviewed Elvis' autopsy report. One doctor said, that Elvis did not die of drug overdose. He said that Elvis' had an auto-immune disease that he acquired after the horrible fall in his bathroom when he was married to Priscilla. He fell tripping over a cord hitting his head on the bathtub. The doctor explained that he laid on the floor for awhile, then got up. He should have seen a doctor, but he did not. He just went on. The doctor said he had hit his head causing a piece of brain matter to break off and then travel to his blood, the blood rejects it, and the main organs as well which causes the auto-immune disease. That was the aching legs and his pain in other areas. Jo, Billy's wife said they were at Graceland a week or so before he died, and he looked terrible, and he complained of his legs hurting and other pains. Jo said he looked bad, and said she felt like he would not make it very long. It is truly horrible for this to happen to such a young person with so much talent and did so much good.

Found online: Suddenly, without explanation, Elvis announced he had to leave the stage and walked off. His large stage entourage quickly went into ad lib mode. Bennett reported that the crowd “endured the mysterious break with unusual patience.” He added, “While Presley was gone his troupe’s uneven filling included a vocal flight by an anonymous opera songstress that drew a partial standing ovation, more than the main attraction received at any time after his intro.”

Sorry to leave another comment, but this was a while ago. I saw it on KZbin. It was before Elvis went on stage on one of the concerts and it really bothered me what I saw and what I heard. It was like he was going to a circus people yelling get your popcorn, get your cotton candy and I’m like seriously this is not a circus. It was to see Elvis perform that really bothered me. It almost made me physically sick. I don’t know if your understand that meeting. He went from movies to sing in Vegas to places where they had to make sure they sold their popcorn and cotton candy. I don’t know what Elvis thought if he heard that, maybe he was fine with it. I’m certainly not fine with it. and I don’t know if you ever saw the clip of him they must’ve showed it 100 times when he got his car after a concert I’m not sure who was sitting beside him and he says how was the sound and they said it was good and you could hear them laughing, but I looked at his face, if you look at his face, he is so empty inside that’s the first thing I thought of was so empty so lonely I’m not sure what year this was. He still looked very good. I don’t know if it was 7372 but I’ll never forget to look on his face, he was just empty looking

Well, I left the comment about Kathy on Elvis and Lucy first of all the fluid on his lungs. That was his heart I know because my husband passed away suddenly in his sleep. It was unexpected. I don’t even know how he performed because my husband had to have oxygen sometimes, anything about Kathy’s book? He was having health problems before you read this chapter physical problems the drug problems but she don’t talk about it. Maybe she don’t want the whole book to be about that. Maybe she just wanted to write what happened at the very end I don’t know I don’t know how his dad Didn’t say nothing that he had to be hospitalized. I think they could’ve made him go, but it was more worried about the money. Elvis knew he was going to die at the end and yeah, she probably didn’t mention the names the bodyguards because she didn’t want to be sued, but she still alive. She could tell us the names now it’s obvious the bodyguar at the end. really didn’t give a damn I know two of them was his stepbrothers. If that’s what you call them. I have no idea how he performed as far as Ginger‘s book, I think she wrote a book. I’m not sure don’t bother buying it. I’m serious don’t bother buying it. She lies through the whole book that he was very happy. Everything was wonderful. It’s really a waste of time. I’m not sure if she did that to get more Elvis fans to buy the book I’m assumingbut Kathy started out 1975 and she jumped to 1977 so maybe she don’t want to think about what happened what was going on with him? Maybe she blocked it out or she just didn’t wanna talk about it but yeah there’s a big jump. I mean, that’s your choice. If you wanna read the book of Ginger, but I’m telling you she lies through the whole book she still lying according to her Elvis was so happy so for joy yeah no health problems. He couldn’t wait to go back on tour as she said everybody lied about everything about him. I’m like whatever my God you even got Lisa that was nine years old at the time saying all they did was fight so I’m pretty sure I believe Lisa she didn’t get two shits about him Ginger. It was about the money and it’s pretty sad that that’s what it’s about. The carnal they should’ve canceled that concert that he did on TV that everybody saw I don’t know why Elvis did that show that night because he was so out of it but he did.

Hello again Joe. II don't know if you read "Being Elvis A Lonely Life" by Ray Connely, but in chapter four It talks about the ages of Elvis' parents. It says they met and married in 1933 when Vernon was 17 and Gladys 22. According to my calculations she was born in 1911-1912 and died in 1958, making her 46 yers old at time of death. Let me know if you think my math is correct. Apparently the mixup comes from both of them lying about their ages in order to get married as Vernon was a minor. Thanks again for your time .🙂

I don't know about any of the details, but I know that Sonny and Red had been fired just before Elvis died. I never knew Vernon fired them. I'm confused. Please clarify Joe, if you can - I'm sure you know. Thanks always for reading this book - I absolutely LOVE it and love you for taking the time to post these videos ❤

Vernon did tell them they were fired. Elvis was not around. Elvis wanted them to get 5k severance pay. Vernon didn't do as Elvis requested. He gave them 2 weeks? I believe it was

As to ginger.s book...she will write in such a way to present herself in the best light..much like Priscilla did...so I am not really that interested in what she has to say...but when you read the book I will listen...

I think Al was and is a solid person. And Sam. Wasn't Ricky still in the midst of his own drug addiction in 1977?

Kathy did what Ginger never did for Elvis, Kathy loved him truly. BTW Ginger's book is going to be 3 pages😂 not worth getting it and not interested

I’m confused. There is an interview with Kathy and she stated Elvis knew he was dying and asked her to sing ‘ My Father’s House.” I saw her say those words in person on interview. So why did she write The singing at funeral a surprise?

I believe the body guards in 1970 was Red and Sonny West, and Dave Hibbler.

Yeah, but they were already fired when this happened!

I love Elvis as much of the next but we really don’t need to excuse or rationalize bad behaviour. Everyone has moments they are not proud of, and they should be held accountable for that. It doesn’t change how we view them, but it’s important to recognize that everyone is human and capable of ugliness. We don’t do Elvis any favors by dismissing or excuse it. That’s literally what he was concerned about, if his fans would still like him if they knew HIM the good the bad and the ugly. He was wrong here for what he said to Cathy and what he said to and about the girls afterwards (if what his guys said in the book and in various specials is true).

Who are the bodyguards who treated Elvis like garbage?? I want names too. I think that’s the saddest thing I’ve heard about his life so far.

Thats the true question! Why didnt she name them. Possibly afraid of defamation of character. I am not saying i dis believe what she says, i am just curious why she wasnt true to her words. Saying she didnt want to give them a minute of her time, my question would be then why did you mention the situation in the first place. I just cant believe that if he wanted something, anyone would refuse to get it. Where was Esposito? He would of done it. And another thing during this time i think billy and jo where accompaning him on tour.. there is no way on gods green earth that either one of them wouldnt of moved mountains to get him vitamins, seeds and such. Just sayin

Joe Esposito wasn't the friend to Elvis that so many think he was. Joe was loyal to Priscilla and the Colonel not Elvis. It's been said when this upcoming tour was up Elvis was going to fire Joe. I think Larry Gellar and maybe one other person has said this.

No. Ready wasn’t around. He wasn’t around from 76 on. This was one of his bodyguards and 77 and I think we can figure out the group of the bodyguards unfortunately, we can’t figure out exactly who this person was unless we know who was with him in Baltimore 1977
@sandralybrand942511 күн бұрын
I think he had a heart attack in Baltimore. He probably had a couple smaller ones that he wasn't treated for and had the fatal one in August at home. 😢
