I remember this when I was 13. I recorded it and would watch it many times over the years. The part at the end when he asks her to come back to him now that he realizes what he lost, and she says no, I actually felt bad for him. But I get it. He neglected her in a lot of ways, but he did love her. I remember being 14 with a guy crushing on you while your curfew is looming. That feeling of first love. The adrenaline. Watching her go through it brings back memories of that time in my life. When I saw Carol Lockwood on Vampire Diaries I couldn't place her. Then I remembered, Susan Walters. I hadn't seen her in a long time. Great actress.

I love this movie! ❤ I met Priscilla Presley in 2006, when she was promoting her linen line. I had borrowed a co-workers camera (smallest one ever;) and waited in line. The camera wouldn't work when it was my turn but Priscilla was so nice and said, that's the tiniest camera lol go get batteries or whatever you need, don't have to wait in line again lol she kept her word and remembered me. She signed my book: Elvis and Me. I was so happy! I thought she was very nice and very positive. I'm not saying I know her or anything. I did wonder what Priscilla would look like with black hair again instead of red. We don't know all that happened with Priscilla and Elvis. I will say maybe things would have been different if he got off the pills..it changed him. And I don't think having so many men living in the house helped. Elvis wanted Priscilla to stay a little girl, but she grew up. I think he should have taken time for himself and his family. His drug addiction never ended. I'm not sure if there were rehab centers back then, but maybe he could have lived longer if he got clean. It's sad after all they did to be together to divorce after only 4 years. They were a beautiful couple! I wonder if Priscilla has any regrets or wishes she would have stayed with him. The way they met was truly a fairytale..sadly the ending wasn't. I do think they still loved each other though! Elvis was amazing!!! There will never be another!

So bad cuz I was with one of my favorite singers anyways if you are watching this or reading I want you to know that you are dearly loved by millions of people including me thank you for being who You Are and keep an eye out with his legacy alive

What I loved about this Movie is that you saw the Relationship that they had together. It think it was next to John Lennon/Yoko Ono as well as Bobby Brown/Whitney Houston one of the most memorable and controversial in Rock Music. Dick Clark as you know did his own Lifestory about Elvis in 1979 and he also did one about The Beatles that got him slapped with a 100 Million Dollar Lawsuit. They felt it wasn't accurate notably the Firing of Pete Best (The Brits say "Sacked"). Pete got "Sacked" because he didn't always show up for shows and his drumming wasn't up to par. It wasn't even them who did it was "Sir" George Martin.

@@dreachanel It’s a phenomenon known as “idol worship.” People who tend to put individuals on pedestals for whatever reason, usually how good the person looks, how “sexy” they are, and/or their extraordinary talent, will conveniently overlook the most grievous behaviors in that idol. And if you dare point them out, you get attacked. “Nobody’s perfect,” they always say. I bet if a 24 year old man came on to their 14 year old daughter, niece, or whoever, it would be a different story.

Good movie. Too bad Elvis did not write a book about his life. I'm sure it would have been true but I don't think he would have talked about the drug use unless he had lived for many more years and wrote it later. The best life story would have come from the "King" himself. George Vreeland Hill

The first 9 minutes of the movie really aren't all that great, but after that, it's amazing how much better the movie is; it's like the work was suddenly handed over to a much better producer when it relocates to Germany. Both the script and the performances improve dramatically. The movie does leave out a lot of interesting parts: During a slow spot in Elvis's popularity, he goes out in public and no one recognizes him. The event is never brought up once in the movie - just that his popularity isn't all that great at the time. The movie probably isn't very faithful to the bio it's based on, and it's been said by some that the bio isn't 100% accurate. This is something I can live with personally; instead of being fact-based, it's based instead on someone's perspective of the facts. I always found that more interesting, and I feel it sparks more interesting conversation.

What seems wrong in this movie is that Elvis Presley was by all accounts a very nice guy. The man who started to dress him for the 68 special said he had no ego at all - nicest guy he ever worked for. They should have used Presley's actual music because this was just lukewarm. But in one regard, you don't have to be a psychiatrist to see that Presley loved his wife - and when she was part of his life - he looked happy. But he was kind to people. Always.

I was married at the age of 15...my parents were not happy either, it was let us, or they would have too. My husband was 10 years older than me. He was the only one in my life for 57 years, till he passed. We had two children. I had them at age 21 and the other at 22. He had plenty of women during the first 30 years, broke my heart too! He was also addicted to alcohol for 35 years. I tried to divorce him three times in the first 10 years of marriage. He got me back each time, because I loved him so much, he was my soul mate!! I put up with everything because of my love. When he was fifty he had his first back operation, then two more after that. It was a horrible time, but I was there for him through everything till the end of his life! I loved him so much. Four years now after his death, I will always only love him.

I haven't watched this film yet, I tend to avoid docudramas because they always take the liberty to add things that didn't happen or change details of things that did for the sake of a tidy storyline. I notice though that Jerry Schilling is credited as a "Technical Advisor" on this film. That doesn't suggest he had anything to do with the story, but in fact he was one of Elvis' best friends. I HIGHLY recommend his book Me and a Guy Named Elvis to anyone interested in Elvis or Priscilla.
