Wallace famous, but not very rich, just like Elvis! He let Biggie eat, smoke ,drink and spend money to excess!! Not really taking care of himself!! Then Puff Daddy figured out how to lure Biggie into a death trap in LA on March 9th,1997!! And the only person that got really Rich, was Puff Daddy!! He also exploited Biggie's legacy by re-issuing Biggie's music catalog and stealing Biggie's publishing and master recordings!!! I'm sure Biggie is in Hell, waiting for Puff Daddy so he can get revenge on him! Puff ran through that traffic light and left Biggie at that light and he was a sitting duck!! Dick Clark was involved in making this. I heard an audio clip where he said he despised the Colonel. My opinion is he helped get him off the ground , helped him get the easy money in movies. Frankly he only had minor acting ability anyway but then ran him into to the ground in Vegas. By the 70's to tour the world a more sophisticated new day manager like Jerry Weintraub could have done the job. Hell, he gave the Colonel a million dollars in cash to tour Elvis through America as a promoter. But Elvis could have d2ine things for himself. Grow up talented manchild , fire the memphis mob stop pissing away money so he would have had the money to fire the colonel and hire a personal trainer . He hacked around with karate but needed diet and training. Finally he needed a goal. He dropped 25 lbs crash dieting for the Hawaaii special. Imagine touring the far east like Japan. $$$. Test run it with Vancouver. Dr Nick damned near killed Jerry Lee Lewis and sure played a major part in killing Elvis.

People who say that Parker made Elvis are not looking at the whole picture. If he made Elvis why didn't he make another one just like him. Elvis was the best entertainer of all time and anyone could have managed Elvis and he would have made it. Parker was a carny crook who took advantage of Elvis. I think he was good for Elvis' career in the beginning but as time went on he started robbing Elvis. He kept Elvis from being a serious actor and he kept him from touring the world which Elvis wanted very much. Parker was here illegally and was afraid if they went out of the country that he couldn't get back in. Elvis was working Vegas to pay Parkers gambling debts. Elvis was taken advantage of by so many people and it's sad.

The colonel was the best and worst thing to happen to Elvis. Elvis should have fired the colonel after two years. By 1957 Elvis was the biggest star in the world. If he fired the colonel and found real management, he could have done the world tours like he always wanted. Elvis performed out of the country only three times. He played three shows in Canada. I believe they were in 1957 but I could be wrong, he could have been earlier, it definitely was not after 1958
@richardnash1079 Жыл бұрын
Why would you fire the guy who in 24 short months got you there - to the top of the entertainment world?
@SD_slots Жыл бұрын
@richardnash1079 - because he was ripping elvis off. Somehow Parker was making more money than Elvis. When he sold the music rights to RCA in the early 70's. Parker took 70%. Unfortunately Elvis trusted Parker and never knew how much Parker was taking. Taking 50% of everything wasn't enough. After Elvis died, Parker went to Graceland and told Vernon he had to sign some papers. Without reading them Parker just signed em. Parker tried to get all of the merchandising rights. This happened the day after Elvis died. Parker was sued by the Presley estate. Of course they won in court. Parker was sued a few more times. Parker was a greedy snake with a gambling problem. Parker made over 100 million dollars but died penniless

He cared about nothing but himself and money. He should have been thrown out of Graceland comeing there like that with business documents for Vernon to sign. So sad. I am just thankful that the judge saw through Parker and what he was up too. He didn't even care if Elvis 's only child was taken care of.

Actually, here in 2020, I think we can get a fairly good sense of what went down. I know I especially listen to people like Billy Smith, Jerry Schilling, things Marty Lacked said before his passing. And if you others they we're legitimately close to Elvis. I I think it's key to remember that we're hearing stories through other people's eyes. And of course movies like this trash care more about dramatic value than they do the true story. But I think if you combine all the resources, and read the key Elvis books, you can get a fairly clear picture of what went down. Of course specific details on some issues we need to hear from Elvis to know exactly how he felt about things. But I think he told different people what they wanted to hear because he was a people pleaser and didn't seem to want headaches. But if you notice the basic story remains the same, if you follow folks who were legit inner circle!
