_Imperial Bedroom_ [and _get happy!!_ ] are my favorite Elvis albums. I turned fifteen the year _Imperial Bedroom_ was released. _Trust_ had been such a mind blower, and then Elvis's comments about going country forevermore so scary... and then the needle touched down on side one, track one, "beyond belief"!

The first I ever heard of EC was the Armed Forces album, and I was blown away by it; listened to his earlier albums and they didn't have the same impact, and I thought that Spike only had one memorable song on it (Veronica, of course). Lately I have discovered Imperial Bedroom, and Blood & Chocolate, and both albums seem to have me coming back for another listen .. then another.

I'm not a singer and I've never done karaoke, but I thought this would be a song I might even CONSIDER doing because the lyrics are so amazing - but then I messed around trying in my room and I'm like "holy crap, I'm hyperventilating trying to keep up with this!!!" Extra amazing....

I like this song and this is a cool acoustic version. But the Attractions, man, they lifted it to another level. Elvis is the star no doubt, but his band was the business.
