Hi Michelle, it has been interesting to read the Elvis fan KZbin channels and see what other fans have planned for this year. In Australia we have just had the 31st annual Elvis Festival in Parkes NSW, which as always was huge with around 25,000 fans from Australia and overseas attending. I have never been there but would love to go just once. There are two Elvis festivals scheduled in Melbourne, one in April and another in August. I am booked in for the April event but haven't booked in for the August one yet. There are several ETAs who appear regularly at various venues around Melbourne, and I will see them when I can. Funny thing is, that I am getting a reputation as "that woman who saw Elvis in person on stage", and when an ETA hears that I am there, they ask me to get up and talk about my experience. Love doing it because every time I remember that night, my heart thumps and I get excited all over again, so it is easy to talk enthusiastically! Some KZbin channels are planning livestreams and I'd like to participate in those if the timing is right. I would really love to have a Zoom meetup with some of the KZbinrs, but not sure how to organise that. I set up zoom meetings regularly for a forum I belong to (not Elvis related) but that is easy to do because we already know each other through the forum. I really get what you said about books on Elvis - I also read them all, to try and get an idea of what Elvis the man was really like, but you made a very good point. Every book is written by a person with a unique perspective on Elvis but sadly we don't have and never will have, his own words apart from the few interviews and discs such as "The Truth About Me" and others, where Elvis talks about himself, his feelings and beliefs. Larry Geller and others have written that Elvis was planning to write his life story, and he gave them all the information, but who knows how true that is?

Here in the US, we are looking forward to Lisa's book. Riley was nominated for the Golden Globes, and the Emmy's but didn't win for "Daisy Jones and the Six", she is now doing a prehistoric piece sort of a Big Foot drama. ? She now has a baby girl, by surrogate that she named "Tupelo". She is beautiful. and seems to be doing well after her awful last year. There is more going on there in the UK concerning Elvis, of course we had "Christmas at Graceland' but not much else. Good luck with all your events, can't wait to hear about them.
