Great song..Elvis was always great. His life was both amazing and twinged with heartache and sad things such as the early loss of his mother and his health issues. When I watch Elvis entertain with his karate moves and in his stunning costumes there is no question that he earned his title "the King" and in reading about him my sense of him is that he may have had the karma of a real life king from many centuries past. I dont want to say who comes to my mind but nevertheless the strong regal vibe is there with Elvis especially from 1970 - 1977

Thankvyou for your comment. And I think I know which past king you are referring to and I agree

@@rickm2765 yes, some of the more ornate be-jeweled costumes Elvis wore were very very similar to that specific monarch. And to me there was always a very kingly aura around/with Elvis. …yes similar to that monarch and yet not with the big responsibilities that monarch had which were daunting and perilous times. Both were into being athletic..Elvis with karate and this specific king with wrestling and jousting. Thanks for your comment back to me…great minds think alike 👍⭐️😊

Besides Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris, Elvis probable did the most to bring karate and martial into the average minds of the Western hemisphere. Of course he was the King on other premises, and being so huge an artist it made his love for karate more park in the shadow. But he started to train in the early 60's, and in his prime was not to be trifled with. In late 1973 he made short work of an attempt by an aggressor while being live in Vegas and his bodyguards had a handful already. Elvis was a badass in many ways. But of course, it's the singing marvel on stage that will shadow anything else. In that role he rules supreme to this day.

I always felt embarrassed for Elvis doing this stuff. How gullible people are. The only reason he did this sort of thing and not feel genuinely embarrassed for himself because millions of people propped and crutched his ego up like a Salvador Dali painting and he believed it. Karate was one thing Presley was not good at. It only looked good inside his own head because of his groupies.
