Elvis: Lisa Marie Presley & Riley Keough Say Austin Butler Deserves an OSCAR Nomination

It was an historic day at the TLC Chinese Theater, as three generations of Presleys - Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley and Riley Keough - put their handprints and footprints in the cement to celebrate the new Baz Luhrmann film ‘Elvis.’ ‘Extra’s’ Rachel Lindsay spoke to Lisa Marie and Riley about the honor, as well as Austin Butler’s portrayal of Elvis. The mother-daughter duo spoke about their love and respect for Austin and said he deserves an Oscar nomination for the movie. 'Elvis' is in theaters June 24.

@@yellyman5483 Obviously not as much as losing a father and a son, but Michael was definitely one of them. Michael loved Lisa very much, Lisa felt the same. Their divorce didn’t make much of a difference because they dated on and off again. Even Priscilla said herself that Lisa was absolutely heartbroken. Also, he didn’t abuse children, it’s been proven. And, didn’t Elvis hook up with Priscilla when she was 14? And he was 24?

This was a perfect movie. I'm an Elvis fan. So, that's exactly why I can make that statement. Butler was an actor who embodies the ecennces of Elvis, while developing his voice and learning his moves. He was not a sing/dancer they hoped could act.

Been a dedicated fan of Elvis and his music all my life. Saw him in concert May 1977. Studied his life, etc. and although he's not Jesus, he certainly felt like what one might think a second coming could feel like. Of course he was human, had flaws, and made mistakes, but he was just a true example of how a human can be at their greatest potential and hes so widely loved, he's probably affected the laws of physics. All of his remaining family are just darling and have blossomed into terrific people yourselves! Bless you!

Her father is honored as he should be, a great artist but a human being caught in a trap of fame. He has been maligned for so long. All people focus on was his so called downfall. He never had a downfall the fans still came to see him , the critics and media chose that that path. He was tired, exhausted, maybe even depressed he worked to hard , his body just gave out. Yes, Parker helped get him on the map, but he also took full advantage of Elvis's trust and worldly naivete.
