My father worked at Southern Motors from 1950-1984. In 1966 the dealership changed the name to Madison Cadillac. My father was known as "Buddy". He knew Elvis Presley. Elvis bought a new car every year, one for George Klein, Elvis's best friend.

My late father once owned a 1958 Cadillac Series 62 hardtop coupe in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It came from Detroit basically stock, with few options. It had a white exterior, with aqua/green interior. Although it was the lowest-priced model, it attracted attention wherever he drove it. In my opinion, Cadillacs from this era seem to look more elegant in “white.”

I think that's the Car Elvis bought for Marion Keisker at Sun Records to thank her for really being the person responsible for getting his career started. She was the person who told Sam Phillips that she thought he had something special and he should call him and hear him in person. If this is that car the value could be in the 7 figures.

Southern Motors in Memphis turned into Madison Cadillac. The old building was still there until fairly recently. There is a photo of Elvis walking around into the back entrance with Linda Thompson and some of the mafia. Also, if that was a gift to a “woman who worked at Sun”, would that be Marion Keisker’s car? It could be argued that Marion pushed over the first domino that started Elvis’ career. That car belongs at Graceland or Sun.

@ 4:04 The Autronic Eye is mentioned as also being able to detect (and warn of) red stoplights. I've always understood GM's Autronic Eye to be a device that could automatically dim "high beam" headlights as an oncoming car was approaching then restored them as that car passed. I owned a 1959 Cadillac CDV w/an Autronic Eye. There were no warnings for "stop" lights, nor were there any buzzer-indicators. Can any "GM Autronic Eye Experts" (I am not an expert) substantiate this guy's claim? THANK YOU in advance!
