Wasnt there but saw it live on TV. It was the first ever live satellite concert ever…and since Elvis didn’t tour abroad the world tuned in to this in 40 countries with audience of 1.5 Billion…that’s never been topped to this day. So yes it was amazing

I was 10 yrs old when he died. I was raised on his music. His death affected multiple generations of fans across the globe. I'm glad to see the younger generation taking an interest in his art. All he ever wanted was to move people through his music. I think he did. This performance in a word - INDESCRIBABLE.

I was 9, and my Mom was a huge fan. Hearing her play his records, her letting me watch this live via satellite, and watching his movies made me a fan. I have shared his videos with my little 7 year old Nephew, and he's a fan, too!

For me the word is Magnificent. An American Trilogy has been one of my favourite Elvis songs for five decades. I’m so happy that this amazing human being, who was so kind, so generous to all those around him & to complete strangers in need, not matter what their racial background, is now being enjoyed by a new generation. I’ve been a fan of Elvis since the mid-1960s & I am still a big fan. Elvis was a megastar & an Icon. When he died at just 42 years old, the world lost one of its brightest stars, but that light will never fade. Thank you for a wonderful Reaction. It was such a joy to see.

This song was sung by Confederate soldiers during the civil war and was said to be a favorite of President Lincoln. I think it was sung by the Union soldiers at the surrender by Lee at Appomattox, ending the civil war. Elvis ' performance and your reaction was beautiful.

"Masterpiece" is not a strong enough word to describe Elvis's performance here. I remember when I first heard this when I was very young at 5 years old. It did something to me. I recognized the passion he put into it, and it was very real and very apparent. A timeless piece of music, Love it.
