I saw Elvis at LV , with a very close seat to the stage , during a dinner show. There has never been a picture, a a video or a movie that I have seen, could compare to his total beauty and persona. It was unbelievable. I had a splitting headache the entire day. By the time he turned and started singing “That’s Ok Mama,” my headache f vanished and a peace swept over me. What a night! I am 78 now and I have seen a huge amount of people in concert…none came close! Incredible!!

That showroom was absolutely gorgeous. My father worked there for many years during graveyard hours. He used to have conversations with Elvis late at night. Elvis would drive around the casino in a golf cart. 😂 we were kids at the time and he gave us his personal scarves he was wearing and signed it for us. My father said he was a down to earth funny man. RIP Elvis and now his beautiful daughter Lisa Marie. ❤

@@daysjours Elvis was completely amazing, moving everyone, the entire place would be absolutely electrified everytime. He was the only reason we went to Vegas. We had already seen him in Dallas and had to see him where we had a chance to see him closer. Each concert he would sing longer than any other performer in their concerts. My brother saw every major rock group of the 1960's, 70's & 80's and said, Elvis beat them all hands down.

You should read " Destined to die young". Elvis had MAJOR health problems from birth. There is WAY more to that story. His mom, Grandma Doll & 6 of his 8 uncles all died in their 40's. Elvis suffered 4 traumatic brain injuries the last being in 1967. He tripped over a television cord in the bathroom and he was unconcious for over 8hrs before he was found! According to his medical records and everyone around him he was never the same. He suffered from massive migraines and developed glaucoma hence the shades you start seeing in 1969. It's what made his eyes water on stage so much. According to his autopsy findings a piece of his brain tissue was jarred loose passing thru his brain barrier. His body began attacking it like a foreign substance and lead to an Autoimmune inflammatory disorder. Then his body began to attack itself. In 1967 they had NO CLUE about Brain Injuries and just how they affect the body. They noted on his medical records at the time that he had 'post concussion syndrome'. By 1970 Elvis was having major problems with his memory , remembering lyrics and names, severe body aches & chronic pain. His joints and limbs, even his lower spine to the point he started using a cane. He wouldn't do Karate as much on stage and he started needing much stronger medications. By 1971 he was seeing 13 specialists trying to diagnose exactly what was causing so many ailments. They had NO MRI's or CT scans, only XRays! He took perscriptions to deal with his Genetic health problems (now we know found at all 4 Autopsys), his enlarged paralyzed colon, Glaucoma, Antitrypsin Deficiency, a condition which can result in lung and/or liver disease both of which he had severely at the time of his death. Elvis was never a smoker or drinker. He had Together with the immune system disorder, hypogammaglobulinemia, which plagued Elvis all his life and caused him to constantly fight various infections. His “inherited” weak heart, reactive arthritis, and the impact of his nocturnal lifestyle, resulting in a lack of vitamin D, the effects of which contributed to respiratory infections, reduced immune function, and inflammation. He had Cytochrome disease a defect in his CYP2D6 gene that can convert Coedine into Morphine in the body. Which is why he developed Cushings Disease. He had spinal blocks in 1975 in his spine which caused Cushings. He stopped breathing and was placed into the hospital, his face, and Abdomen were huge and would never fully go down. The press was calling him fat, but he was so sick. Only a handful of people knew what really was going on. Dr Forrest Tennant a world leading Neurologists was given all Elvis medical files and was at all 4 autopsies. He represented Elvis Dr Nick Nichopoulos at his trial in the State of Tennessee & against the Medical Board. He was the specialists in Howard Hughes Medical Trial too. He had written a book on this, numerous blogs, medical journal contributions, and even a podcast. He is still practicing medicine and talks openly about how this lead EXACTLY to Elvis death. People are still repeating the same uneducated guesses that 4 autopsies have disproven and medical science keeps proving were wrong. Of the 11 bodily systems that operate to keep us alive and hopefully healthy. Critically, Elvis suffered disease or disorder in nine of them! And five were present from birth and pre his fame. His heart (circulatory system), his lungs (respiratory system), and his bowels (digestive/excretory systems) required medication. Insomnia affected his nervous system……His immune system was compromised. His urinary system was not functioning properly. At one point there was even talk of dialysis. Often he is dismissed as just another rock ‘n’ roll drug addict. He wasn't taking street drugs. He was taking perscriptions not to "ESCAPE" he was taking them to try to maintain some sense of normalcy as himself in a time where the medical field was limited. No DNA, Genetics, No MRI's, little known about the addiction, his dystrophy & No understanding of Vitamin D even. Looking at the illnesses and disorders, that mounted upon each other over the decades, it’s no coincidence that Elvis’ prescription drug use increased as his health declined. From ear infections to chronic tonsilitis to recurrent flus to eye infections and glaucoma…..these arguably insignificant ailments independently, grew into something more. As his body broke down, alongside multiple immune system disorders and genetic complications, prescription medication and his handy PDR tried to fill the gaps. When that no longer worked, hospital stays became the norm and his list of ailments grew. The sicker he got, the more prescriptions he was prescribed. He was seeing a cardiologist before he bought Graceland. He was 20yrs old. They have gone through Elvis's entire life of medical records & now have an entire different story now. This is all the facts Geraldo & 20/20 never stated. He accidentally took the Codine the dentist's gave him that night due to the volume found in his blood at autopsy. His Genetic condition of Cytochrome Disease of his CYP2D6 defect caused his Coedine to build up in toxic levels to which he was deathly allergic to. He had been hospitalized twice before and had stopped breathing on a previous flight from. It caused his massively enlarged heart that was already failing to stop. His heart was 3 times a natural size weighing 520grams. It was missed in all 3 of his last medical visits. It had given him problems from records stating ATLEAST age 19. Hastened along by an rich Southern diet & an Autoimmune inflammatory disorder poor Elvis didn't stand a chance. Science wasn't even to the point where they could have helped him.

I'm 73 years old now and I've been a fan ever since the first time Elvis appeared on Ed Sullivan. I was an a long haired musician back when this movie came out, I honestly didn't even know this movie even existed. I actually got to see this movie by accident. I went to a local theatre to see "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" a concert film of Joe Cocker on tour and "That's the Way It Is" played first in a double feature showing. Wow, I loved Joe Cockers film, I wasn't disappointed but Elvis's movie blew me away! Because I saw "That's the Way It Is" when it first came out, I got to see Elvis in Concert 5 times total, the first time being in 1970. What's strange, while at the Elvis concert in 1970, I was the only long haired guy in the crowd, I actually couldn't get any of my "hippy" musician friends to go see Elvis live in concert with me. You know what, now those friends regret it immensely. I've literally seen ever musician and band live in concert starting in 1964 starting with the "Shindig" show and the Beachboys etc.. I can say without a doubt, Elvis Presley was the best concert I ever whiteness ever in my life. I've seen Led Zeppelin 5 times also and they were unbelievable but they didn't hold a candle to Elvis, especially in 1970.

I was born 1990 and Elvis takes my breath away today 2023. I love his gospel songs and his proclamation of Jesus the most. Elvis died on my 8th birthday. Great grandma Keene died the same exact day too. It was a a very sad day. I remember everyone crying. The lady next door cried for weeks over Elvis. He really had an effect on people that we can’t even imagine today.

Ich schätze viele Arten von guter Musik, ich kenne auch alle Songs von Johnny Cash und June Carter (Great) und andere große Künstler. Elvis bleibt jedoch der größte Musiker und Entertainer aller Zeiten, aber in all seinen Songs kommt die ganze Kraft seiner Seele zum Vorschein. You should read " Destined to die young". Elvis had MAJOR health problems from birth. There is WAY more to that story. His mom, Grandma Doll & 6 of his 8 uncles all died in their 40's. Elvis suffered 4 traumatic brain injuries the last being in 1967. He tripped over a television cord in the bathroom and he was unconcious for over 8hrs before he was found! According to his medical records and everyone around him he was never the same. He suffered from massive migraines and developed glaucoma hence the shades you start seeing in 1969. I had a friend who was a Grand Ole Opry fiddler for Kitty Wells, Johnny and Jack, Roy Acuff, and Ray Price. He told me that a young Elvis Presley joined a tour. Said he was strange. One night at a restaurant in Asheville, NC Elvis got up from the table, played one of his early records on the jukebox and shouted, “ Hey, everybody, that’s me singing. I’m Elvis Presley,” one night Elvis did pushups backstage. One night Acuff docked Elvis for being late. My friend called his wife in Gastonia, NC from the road. Told her a new kid joined the tour. “Boy hasn’t got a chance. He’ll never make it. His name’s….ELVIS!” Of course, soon Elvis signed with RCA Victor, recorded “Heartbreak Hotel” and the rest is history. He told his wife, “Boy, was I wrong!” He liked Elvis and they got along well but Elvis was unusual. Greatest talent ever! Spent a week in Memphis in 1978 and learned a lot about him from the people there. In 1982 I called his Uncle Vester at the Graceland guard shack and we talked a long time. I’d gotten the phone number for a 1977 phone interview on the radio when Mr. Presley wrote a family book.

Of the many times I wish I could travel back to THIS is one of them. August 10th, 1970 opening night. The best version of Elvis ever imo. I remember in 2002 we were eating at Elvis's restaurant when I looked up on the wall and saw the shirt he's wearing at the beginning of this video hanging in a case. Im 64 and have been blessed to have had the music of 70s and 80s as the soundtrack of my life. And yes as a young man and growing up where I did girls loved Elvis, i love the ladies so yes, i had 8 tracks. Cassette tapes and CDs of Elvis, Frank and Dean next to my Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, etc...

Элвис, Вас любят и помнят, жаль, что не было рядом тех кто мог заботиться о его благополучии ,как человека с тонкой и ранимой психикой ведь у артиста обнажён каждый нерв и, вероятно, ему хотелось бы ж ть иначе,но в том мире тогдашнего Голливуда все почти все страдали от наркозависимости. Деньги, конечно , и ужасный менеджер заботился только о выручке , а не о состоянии Элвиса. Великий певец, красавец, широкая душа жить бы тебе Пресли сейчас в окружении внуков и поклонников, но человек просто сгорел. Шоу-бизнес- это адская машина. I remember sitting in my grandmas front room watching the satellite concert from Hawaii, rabbit ear antenna WITH aluminum foil for extra reception powers, the TV was black and white…next to the fireplace. We were poor but we had all we needed, big dinner, a lot of people in the front room, everyone enjoying the show. I asked my mom how the satellite sent the concert…I couldn’t understand, everyone in that room except me and one aunt has passed. I’m so happy I have this memory…we had a lot of fun. I miss them all. 🃏👍🏁🎭🍿🍿🍿

Absolutely incredible that such a loved and admired man could be so nervous about singing to so many stars who were all looking forward to seeing him, not coming to criticise him, as he was in the 1950s. Back then he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and colonel parker should have known that. I was amazed to recognise so many famous faces arriving in droves, and I wonder if Elvis was aware of them before he went on stage. He always looked so confident when he walked on stage, like a gunslinger who knew what he had to do😏

Just want to mention... it was a sign of respect to his fans, he never took his own stardom too seriously. He said: "it's a new audience, new faces, I don't let the people around me get comfortable either." This attitude is one of a true professional and showing respect to the fans. He took nothing for granted because he said his voice is a gift! How many singers have this attitute today? Not many at all, they act like the public owes them something. Elvis was in a league of his own, and the leader of the pack. Love him even more for his humbelness. 🥇⚡🎶🎤 and Sonny said, "Elvis was always nervous before a concert, but once he hit the stage he was dynamite."

Usually on opening night they only invited big stars to attend as VIPs, so yes, Elvis would have known most of the people who were coming. But Elvis put the same amount of work in no matter who was in the audience. One reason Vegas drained him was because he wanted to come to fans, not the other way around. At these shows, you'd get people who were just there to gamble or party, but it was a total different energy on tour where it was ALL Elvis fans and way bigger crowds. "Gunslinger" is such a perfect image! "Kill it and put it behind you."
