Realize, if Elvis came back all of a sudden, in his old age and HEALTHY, the entire world would be fighting for tickets to see him. He was bigger than music. Elvis was a major staple in the existence of the human race.

Not sure if you're still around, but 8 yrs after you posted your comment, Elvis pretty much took over the reaction video genre of KZbin, and he's reached many younger people who have gotten into his music, which will ensure his legacy through another generation!
I just love it that he brings out his ripped jumpsuit to show the audience. The stars of today have too much ego to do that!

I am 55 yrs old and I was there! Best concert I have ever seen. I believe I was 12 or 13 yrs old. I saw the Aloha special at 10 and was surprised he was so bloated...but the voice...was better! He was the True King of music!

It was my first concert as a kid and I was there with my Dad. My dad loved Elvis and couldn't wait to go. I actually remember the concert and how much fun that I had with my Dad there. One of my favorite memories as a kid and even now I can't believe that I actually saw him in person. RIP Dad and Elvis, thanks for the memory!

What was funny before he split his pants he was very upset on a story in the newspaper about him splitting his suit in the behind! Then a few songs later he split his behind area (LOL) No matter what that was a SUPER CONCERT!! No will ever take his place! I miss seeing him in concerts! I went to 5 Elvis in concert!! He is a one of a kind! If u were lucky to see Elvis his voice sounded even super better then on records or CD's!!

I also was lucky enough to have been there...there are so many words, none of tham which fully captures the experience... His soul often carries his voice over three octaves, which also he has "color" that adds another whole dimension to his voice. It's like he is singing directly to you.Everybodie feels it he was sooo Electrifying, funny, deeply moving and even emotional when it came to songs of love: etc...

Yes. He was at about his heaviest here. He never needed outfits any bigger than these. He wore this one and another in different colours over the summer. Within six months he was losing weight. He stopped wearing these suits early in September as they were getting too loose. By the end of the year he was back in outfits he was wearing in late 74. During 77 his weight fluctuated dramatically within days as he was suffering from fluid retention... mostly from cortisone for his arthritis.

He stood up really quickly when he felt the seam give, put his hand around to see if he could feel how bad the split was, and then turned and said to Charlie Hodge (his "side man"), "I busted out of my pants man". Charlie laughed at him and grabbed a hand towel...

Elvis Presley, songs of love: like love of God,Country,Fellowman.Even Elvis ! being well or not as his best, would at times slur his singing voice and speaking voice, inexplicably stopping songs to start over again. And it may be the style of teh song the speed of it the key changes that he found difficult to remember the words I'm not sure he sung some of tham that often either. It's got nothing to do with his cloths he could stand up there filthy and we'd still love him. Just a great guy who truly had a beautiful heart.
