Priscilla was 21 when she & Elvis were married. They always looked happy together, but she said she needed to find herself & it could never have been easy married to a superstar, & to be surrounded by so many people all the time. It’s a shame they only had six years of marriage, & Elvis absolutely adored his daughter, Lisa Marie, & Priscilla took her off to live with her in California. Lisa Marie was 9 when her famous daddy died, & she was staying with him at the time, so such a traumatic experience for a child. Now she too has left us, & her oldest child, Benjamin, is gone too. Lisa Marie had so much heartache in her life. This is a sad song, & I don’t think Elvis ever got over losing Priscilla to another man. From 1974, his health really started to go downhill. Before I even listen to this.. I'm gonna say.. My Pop-Pop raised me on country music.. and Ray Price was my favorite singing this song.. still is.. but Elvis.. most definitely 2nd. lol .. don't judge me.. Momma raised me on Elvis.. but Pop-Pop raised me old classic country. But I just listened to Elvis singing the first bar.. I'm Melting.. Wow

I lived thru his career and I really believe that when Priscilla left he was never the same she said he never stopped taking care of her and Lisa Marie. He actually spent your talking to her on the phone at night. Joe Esposito his friend said that Elvis was clutching a book about Jesus and in it was a note that said that losing his wife was the biggest mistake of his life and that he would never get over his broken heart, when they found his body. Actually His wife says that he was the love of her life and she left because his life style was so hard for her. She also says she will never get over him. Sad. Thanks for all your lovely reactions like you, we will never stop loving Elvis.

Yess agree 👍. After 1972 he didn't have the same energy, even in a beautiful concert at Hawaii 1973 you can see the sadness in his eyes. It's like " what now, what can i accomplish now that i haven't " If Elvis had went overseas, he would have lived atleast a couple of years more because of the challenge. He needed that, challenge like everyone else. He didn't need to sit home alone at Graceland just thinking dark thoughts, maybe that's why he insisted touring til the end. But that Parker dude didn't let him grow. It's really sad and waste of opportunity

For the 60s, she was not young...ln our day she would be... I...remember Elvis begging Precilla bk... He just could not win. She was finished. Then when he pass, she did learn the Colonial did him dirty... He truly needed her bk. She did learn too late., he was broke. The colonial gambled his monies . The colonial's did not care. Wow, Cindy, this man losts 1 millions dollars of Elvis's. Thr colonial yelled at him when he was sick. Precilla got revenge...on that. She could not believe it. How evil.? Yep

Elvis was pressured by Parker to marry Priscilla..something like a shot gun wedding without a gun. She hit jackpot when she married him. She is now wealthy. Elvis stated to Larry Gellar that he never fiund his soul mate. Elvis told him Priscilla was like a sister. He told several, including May Mann that he only had one true, deep love, June Juanici who broke his heart If He loved Priscilla so much, why did he have so many women while married, even in the first year. She also did not love him deeply or three months after Lisa was born, she had an affair. Theur marriage was doomed from the start.Elvis was not willing to give uo his freedim, and he did not in marriage.
