He always said when he did a concert he wanted to bring it all and that part of it was keeping his band on their feet like it was the first time every time. In reference to his stage suits paralleled with the entire presentation, he said straight up 'these people paid their hard earned money to come see me and they deserve the absolute best.' It's staggering how many big time acts over just the past 30 years totally ignored that or didn't care. Elvis KNEW and didn't Fuck around. The GOAT.

i have commented on this to so many reactors, i can't count; younger people unfamiliar w-Elvis don't realize how he performed & what he did that was totally different than anyone; i have seen people actually close their eyes for over half of a performance; i understand "getting swept away" but they have to learn "eyes open at all times"

Elvis died August 16 1977 he’s been gone for 45 years now and to this day there have been many great performers Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks and others but none have come close to Elvis Presley he’s still the all time leading artist in sale outs in Vegas, he has I’ve 1 billion viewers in 1973 , today he still has albums going triple platinum he’s the only artist in the rock & roll hall of fame, and country music hall of fame, he has over 400 #1 songs and is still considered the all time greatest natural performer of all time. You have to remember also when Elvis was recording records there was no such thing as auto tuning to make him sound better it was all natural now they can take a terrible singer and make them sound amazing but that’s why Elvis sounded identical live to his albums. He was a natural talent, and artist. Elvis Presley was a one of a kind entertainer he just got caught up in something that no one was aware that could do that kind of harm to a person, the same thing almost happened to Johnny Cash but Jesus, and June Carter helped Johnny Cash, but truthfully after Elvis lost Prescilla Presley I believe Elvis fell into a deep depression that he just never got out of.

Thanks, I have never heard this song before. Both Elvis and Pricilla talked that maybe when they were much older and she had time to "live her life" she would be ready to give it another try but eventually both realized his lifestyle would probably never change.

It appear this song's concern the ex? Elvis did not wants no marriage to Precilla P. He felt she had the baby too soon. BUT HE DID LOVE HIS LITTLE GIRL WHEN BORN. YES, he loved her but...Elvis did not let the ex know he was getting into debt. When the ex found out, ELVIS WAS DEAD. SHE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY HE PULLED AWAY THEN APOLOGIZE? HE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO CONTROL THE COLOINAL SPENDING..HABITS. so, all he did was keeping apologizing to her . He was sorry. Precilla P. got revenge when discovered the Colonial used Elvis's money . Elvis tried hard to hides what happened to him. In 77 ,we all saw the signs he got sick. He did die..6 weeks later. He was sick bad. All type of ailments..going on in his body He did lose 20 pounds . Getting dental work done to look good again before he died. SO, IN MY OPINION, HE DID NOT PLAN TO DIE. IT WAS AN ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE.
