Hi Emily! _(Mini-review)..._ *Oh Wow! This is so awesome!* 😃 What a moving tribute to such a classic song by Elvis! I don't know how you pick your songs, but this is a wonderful song selection! (Especially like as you say, in the world's current situation). You have performed an outstanding cover of this song with just you and the piano! 👸 🎹 There is so much warmth to the sound of this recording. Your voice is like liquid gold, with such lush and smooth textured qualities! Also the stereo ambience of the piano is terrific as well. (another fine job Christine!) As soon as I heard the first part of the line in the song 0:15, ♫ "There must be lights.."♪; I knew this was going to be good! It's captivating right from the start. You have this natural gifted ability to give such warmth and emotion in a song. Super impressive! 👍 Your piano introduction is so elegant and wonderfully played. You show off your piano skills confidently throughout the song brilliantly! From the start at 0:40 ♫"Tell me why oh why"♪, and at 0:47, ♫"Dream come true"♪; there's such lovely control in your vibrato. Such gorgeous singing! 😊 The video looks like there's quick edits at 1:00, 1:33 and 2:17. It must be a challenge to quickly slip in different camera angles! 🎥 At 1:39, ♫ "there's too much rain"♪, there's terrific slide to head-notes in your voice. To some it may not be that noticeable, but there is superb control in your vocals, which you sing in a way that seems effortlessly! Such raw cool talent! 😎 Then at 1:21, ♫ "Oh why won't that sun appear"♪, is such superb expressive singing and your dynamics are quite excellent! (without your voice thinning out, but staying full). Bravo! 👍 In the Bridge; e.g. 1:42 ♫ "We're trapped in a world that's troubled with pain"♪; (and in fact this whole section); is outstanding singing! It's the type of singing that blows you away when you hear it! Sensational. 🙂 At 2:05 ♫ "He can fly"♪, -- Oh wow!!! Then 2:10 ♫"Deep in my heart..."♪, you return to such irresistible rich lush vocals. (the lyric "heart" leaves you speechless!) From about 2:30, you really belt out those dynamics impressively at the latter and end of the song! Always be careful with sustained loud dynamics that you don't start to yell them out! On the contrary though, you instead give a blistering performance here with your vocals. Quite incredible really! 🎤 At 3:11 you know you've done a great performance as you give a lovely rewarding smile! (probably thinking: "so what did you think about that!!!") 😏 _We thought:_ Oh Wow! Has Elvis really left the building?? You have done this song great justice! What a pure delight! 😃 There are so many comments in your videos, made about the maturity in your voice at such a young age. It's mind boggling to think how good you will be in a few years! We are so privileged to hear such sweet raw talent on KZbin! You are exceptionally good! There has to be credit given to your Mum also, as I'm sure she is part of the team, in how well you are developing! 😊 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ *This is a sensational performance!* ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I think "If I Can Dream" was the song I first heard from Emily Linge. I was really extremely impressed by the quality of the voice of a girl who was also a pianist. Although I have made multiple comments on her covers and original interpretations of her, I wanted to confirm that she is an outstanding artist and one of my favorites.

Elvis did quite a number on that song written by Walter Earl Brown inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr., but Elvis had sung a lot and was one of the greatest singers of all time. I know most of the songs of the 50's, 60's, and 70's but I'm not familiar with this song so this is the first time I've seen this video and I was looking for a song I hadn't heard Emily do (which is difficult because I've watched almost all the videos). I'd rather listen to Emily sing and play than Elvis (whom I love) or anyone else except The Beatles who are part of my DNA after all these years.!!
