Good that you mentioned the 2.5 Billion Records estimated until today...Not many people know that. I don`t know excactly where i heard it but is it true that his Record-Company stopped counting(there is a better word i know) his Record-Sales, because there are like hundreds of Bootleg-LP`s from non-official Recordings that Fans made at his Concerts - and they are sold too?

Indeed! Most of this coverage is so wrong and has been addressed with real facts. And as for saying he co-opted black music, boy the reeks of jealousy, reverse racism, and a complete lack of knowledge of the tines, and complete lack of understanding of Elvis’ sing talent. He blended all that he soaked up in his youth, gospel, R&B, country and more. But never jazz or rap. If a white can’t absorb R&B and it be a part of his style mix unless black, that is pure reverse racism.

A Professor Of Music At Harvard University said that Elvis was such an Extremely Gifted Vocalist because he had Vocal Registers normally found only in Professionally, Voice Trained, Opera singers. He closed his article by saying that Elvis could hit Hi ''G '' Notes that would make a Baritone Opera Singer turn Green with Envy ! Consider the Following.: Elvis could and did Sing Bass, Baritone, 2nd Tenor and 1st Tenor. Also, Elvis successfully sang Rock N' Roll, Jazz, Country, Gospel, Broadway, Blues, And Rhythm and Blues. And Elvis is the only Performer in the History of Recorded Music that is a Member of Four Music Halls Of Fame ! Rock 'n Roll , R & B , Country and Gospel ! No One else In the History of Recording has ever come close to matching the Versatility, the Vocal Range, and the Number of records Sold of Elvis over 2.5 Billion Worldwide !

Thats a beautiful sentence you wrote there, but ofcourse we know that the Uniqueness of Elvis entire Personality on and of Stage was shaped by HUNDREDS of Blues, Gospel, Classical, Rockabilly, Country and so on Artists that Elvis obsessively adored on the RADIO, before he became a PHENOMENON (its not fair to call him a regular Star...because he was far more than that) I would say that he inhaled Music as a young Boy and later a Teen and that he was able to adapt any Style of Song and make it his own. Nobody could do that the way Elvis did it. Other Artists contributed to his Style a lot and Elvis, as a musical Genius, put all of this together into ONE GREAT ACT. (not talking about just standing and singing on Stage...) Elvis was THE MAN. On Stage you are right: He was EVERYTHING. Adored and admired by the WORLDSTARS of this Time. 😉🥰❤👌🙏💪

I hate when people mislead what someones position is. Elvis was a veteran. He supported the Troops and did not believe you speak against their effort while they were serving. My parents felt the same way, even though my Dad served in WWII and hated Wars. My brother was also drafted and was serving at the time. Our troops were not treated well when returning home. People know the real opinions and still lie about it.

In 1970 before his appearance at the Houston Astrodome the Astrodome management informed him that his black backup singers were not welcome, Elvis's response was that if the singers did not come, there would be no show. mildredschulz I imagine you did see the ELVIS 2022. movie.?! I saw something, but I did Not catch it the first time I saw the film. When I saw the film a second time, I saw it . Towards the end of the film, a scene where Vernon and Parker we’re taking money from Elvis. It was a fast paced film, I understand that it’s not easy to put 42 yrs in a 2.5 hrs film. I also don’t for one second believe that Baz Luhrman would invent, make up a lie like that! Spoke to friends, we went together to see the movie again and sure enough the three of us did see “that scene” which we hadn’t noticed the first time we saw the movie! Poor Elvis he worked very hard for what he had and was happy to give to others, for he knew what poverty was! A HEART OF GOLD, that was being criticized by Vernon, because Elvis gave expensive things to others. It was very sad, in my opinion the only one person that really understood him was his Mom Gladys! And I also think he never loved Priscilla the way he loved his Mother. REST IN PEACE our PRECIOUS PRINCE OF PEACE. We will always love you and will always be listening to your awesome voice, till the day we die. You’ll stay in our hearts FOREVER! ❤️💙 I am Captiva Island-Rose, the name you see above this Comment is MOONLILY, she is an impostor, who steals all my Comments! I have read his autopsy record (through the article of Dr Forest Tennant MD Dr Ph titled “Elvis Presley : head trauma, Autoimmunity, Pain and early death - you can find it on the internet with that title) and it said that it’s an autoimmunity reaction along with the Cushing Disease (which I have myself and that had almost killed me - I survived thanks to our modern day medicine) inducted by a head trauma he had in 67 that killed him. He took medication for he had pain and that’s what I did too. And believe me, he wanted to live ! Also, if you read “Elvis and the Memphis Mafia” they explained that Elvis shot the t.v for Goulet because of a girl back in the 60s that he had got from Elvis at the time when he was making movies. Elvis never forgot. If you can read what I have just suggested you, you will be able to include those facts in your video so as people who will watch it will have truthful facts. We cannot forget that now that all the people who knew him personnaly are dead, we’re having the responsibility to take care of him in front of History for generation to come. It’s a great one if we love him, and I think, as historian and as a human being that listen his music for 40 years now, that we owe it to him, and I think I’m right to think like that. Isn’t it ??? We have to take care of him.

I hate it when people say Elvis died because of his diet. Elvis had Cushing Syndrome. People with this illness have a multitude of illnesses which masks the real cause of the illness and causes misdiagnosis. People with Cushings Syndrome or decease can have symptoms such as not being able to sleep, can’t stop eating, get angry for no reason, have high blood pressure, have diabetes and heart problems among other issues. It is due to a high level of cortisol which his blood toxicology confirmed. Doesn’t that sound familiar so come on leave the guy alone. He was an ill man.

My nursing professor assisted in his autopsy. He was impacted. There's a nerve near the end of the bowel that if receives too much pressure will result in a heart attack. Dr Nick gave him speed to wake up and perform. He gave Elvis opiates to sleep which causes constipation. His official cause of death is heart failure. As far as his weight is concerned, my husband is twice his size. It angers me when people ridicule the overweight. Mama Cass also died of heart failure and vicious rumors started that she died choking on a ham sandwich. Edit: Tom Parker insisted Dr Nick give him speed so he could do 3 shows a day. The man was a thief and a murderer.

@@roxannemoser Yeah, the Colonel worked Elvis like a slave and did not care how sick he was or how damaged his health turned out to be. I heard an interview with one of Elvis' guys who said that Elvis was unconscious and had his head dipped into ice water because Parker told them that he does not care what they do but "that man" "will be on stage tonight". Elvis' family trusted the Colonel because they naïvely believed all the lies he told them. Elvis had hereditory health issues yet a lot of his stress and the consequences of being drugged to adhere to the schedule the Colonel dictated were a direct result of being mismanaged and not being taken care of.

The reason for Elvis's temper tantrums, drug & food abuse was his frustration with his [so called] manager Parker... ...Parker not only robbed him, he bullied & exploited Elvis by locking him into 'pop corn' movie contracts that Elvis loathed, preventing him from doing what he really wanted to do; QUALITY film roles & a massive world tour! The King would have lived to a ripe old age with an Oscar [or two] & a sound marriage to [maybe] Priscilla if he had dumped Parker about 1958.... When Parker had the gall to present Elvis & Vernon with a $2m check [or bill] for a separation they should have called his bluff & consulted a financial/legal counsellor. Parker would have backed off in fear of his crooked deals & his illegal alien status coming to light.

Not sure were you got alot of your information because Elvis never spoke ill of others. ! As far as his interaction with Nixon was a way to get a badge which he collected ! Enough said everything said is others speaking for him and he not wanting to correct or being dead and unable tto defend himself ! Whats important his the impant he had on the world musically and culturally ! Never be another like him ....thats a fact because he is still being talked about 45 years after his death ! ! !

Elvis loved all people. He knew what suffering was in his early life. His old friend, Sam Bell, was his best friend in Tupelo. Listen to Estelle brown and his maid…Nancy Rooks…unfortunately, jealousy is a terrible emotion. Anyone that had anything bad to say was jealous. Truth always rises. Proof is here…he lives on in people’s hearts. As long as there is our planet, Elvis will be remembered.

Elvis showed signs of heart issues early on, with breathlessness, using an inhaler, he could not sleep from a child and the army got him regulated on the two meds so he could keep a normal ridge schedule. He never acted like a rebel in the army. He wasn’t the complete rebel this makes him out to be. You try keeping that schedule he did healthy, but with underlying serious health issue where you are always in what is called the flight or flight zone, high adrenaline and everyone burns out in their 40’s. It’s like burning the candle at both ends. Add heart disease and you do more than burn complete out, you die. We love you Elvis. RIP

I don't need a video butchering Elvis the man is dead he can't defend himself. He hired the Sweet Imperials 3 black women as his background singers and he bought his cook and home maid a new home and he surprised her with it. There are videos on the internet about Elvis and blacks he was hardly a racist he refused to do a concert in Texas without his black background singers he wanted them to have star treatment and they got it.

Also just learned that Elvis had major concussion spring 1967 before marriage. He tripped on tv cord hotel and hit head on bathtub. Knocked unconscious , this may have unlodged brain matter Into bloodstream and eventually what caused ailments. I don’t think drugs alone caused his major ailments. This more than anything most likely was what caused his bad health

Elvis was NEVER a racist. To the contrary he was always promoting equality in a time where this was unpopular opinion. If you know anything about Elvis and hear about him froma actual friends and co-workers (like Elvis group of black background singers, the sweet inspirations) everybody would know how Elvis was a wonderful human being, with having human flaws as we all do, but was not racist whatsoever. One time a promoting company asked Elvis to have his black background group stay at home due to their color, and Elvis got upset and said, he would only play if they would play. And he told the promoter to give the black background singers „star treatment“. One of the sweet inspirations singer was asked about Elvis after he died and she said something like „Elvis was such a wonderful man he was like an angel and he was so good to us“ Just watch on KZbin interviews with Estelle Brown One of his black background singers . She loved Elvis for the great human he was!

This video is not really correct about Elvis and his finances. You make it seem as though his life style was the only reason for his estate being small at the time of his death. It’s not the complete story. He was generous with his money, yes, but he was surrounded by moochers, like his memphis mafia, who didn’t seem to be able to tell him No… But the real outrage was that damn carni, Parker, who treated Elvis as his human version of dancing chicken on a hot plate-his famous act in carnival circus before he gave it up and glommed onto Elvis-and took 50% of whatever Elvis earned. That’s 50%! That was real highway robbery… Carni started out taking 25% in the beginning, but for the last 10 years or so, he took 50%. The sad truth is Elvis was taken advantage of by many, but by Parker most of all. Elvis has some blame for never ridding himself of Parker for good, but it all started, unfortunately, when Vernon Presley signed the initial contract with Parker on behalf of Ekvis, who was a 19-year-old minor. That nasty carni Parker swindled both of his parents, who were barely literate. How tragic is that?

I'm so sick of people saying that Elvis was racist. He was not racist not in any part of him was he racist. And for those that were not even alive during his lifetime just playing off other people that want to call him racist. He happened to be friends with B.B. King and he as has been said attended Black Churches growing up and listening to that kind of music which may I add he happened to like. Why are people always trying to destroy what they don't either like or they have some jealousy about??? It just makes me boiling mad 😠 😤

Many people and/or other artists don’t give Elvis credit where credit is due possibly because of jealousy. Example: Frank Sinatra and the Beatles. Oh!!!! Frank Sinatra, I hope, then asked Elvis on his TV show when Elvis returned from the Army. Hmmmm Frank Sinatra Show got very high ratings the night Elvis was on the Sinatra Show. As for the Beatles, I wouldn’t you 2 cents for any of their albums. Thank you for this post. I’ve been a fan of Elvis since 1956 and still love and respect him. In August 16, 1977 God knew Elvis was not well and needed a rest. Nobody knows what any of us are going to face when our time comes. Soooo give Elvis a break from the many criticisms of Elvis - including his EX wife. Her day will come also. 😢
