Are you telling me that the version on the NBC show was not live?

The NBC recordings are not considered live performances because they were filmed in a TV studio as part of a TV program where the director or Elvis could stop and restart as necessary. It was of course filmed in front of an audience but was not a concert. This is why Elvis' live eras are accepted as being from 17 July 1954 until 25 March 1961 and 31 July 1969 until 26 June 1977. Remember Elvis' own words during his August 1969 shows "This is my first live performance for nine years!"

Neither Phil. He introduced Polk Salad to the setlist on opening night of his second Vegas season on 26 January 1970 and See See Rider a week and a half later during the dinner show of 5 February. Those 'new' 1970 songs will be uploaded in the next few days.
