I love this rehearsal clip. And I just went to the Elvis exhibition at London Bridge where ma y of his clothes and costumes and personal effects were displayed in the UK for the first time. This outfit wad one of the displays as well as several jumpsuits, shows and cars! I didn't want to leave ❤

Elvis would sing gospel to relax and in between rehearsals - he was rehearsing for his Vegas stint and that's why it was short - he would often sing just one or two lines from songs he loved.

Several members of his group including a woman that became a nun n Elvis spiritual leader ( Larry) n many more said Elvis would invite them at times to his room. He would hand them the Bible n said open the Bible anywhere n start reading the verses n as they read he would start saying the rest of that page. He did that often n all was correct Psalms were not the only part that was read. I became friends with Charlie for years after Elvis died n he told me many things about Elvis spiritual life. Learning the catalogs of Wesley and watts would not even be possible. Elvis could not possibly have had all 66 books of the Bible memorized. If so, he would be the only person ever to have done so. And besides, he didn't apply many of its teaches to his daily life. He used to joke that he didn't want to miss out in case he concentrated on one religion alone. That 'nun' was Sri Daya Mata. Her real name was Rachel Faye Wright. She was a leader in the Self-Realization" cult. Elvis Didn't have the spiritual perception that her teachings were certainly anti-Bible. Larry Geller was and is a also a religious fraud. One day Priscilla and others had a bonfire of Geller's books (not ones that he wrote). That was a good move. Elvis had very little spiritual discernment because he didn't know and apply the doctrines of the Bible.
