I get what you mean. Those where days of simple gratification and gratitude. The world is getting so different each day with it fast technology and inconsiderate people. It's so good to see pictures of when the time's of simple things just seemed so unique in the own ways were amazing.

Elvis grew up on Orville Beans farm, his parents were share croppers. That's who his dad sold the hog to and let his brothers copy the signature and went to Prison for it. Here is video of the farm the birth house originally sat on. Vernon borrowed the $150 from Orville to build the birth house and eventually lost it once the depression hit. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHTWmZJ3eLSkoLs

It seemed that he was just a regular country kid that knows he was very very fortunate and he look like he was really enjoying the fruits of his labor. God blessed this man with an amazing gift and he used them accordingly. I love watching these intimate moments. I wonder if he ever thought that millions of people would one day be watching clips of his home movies. He probably would think, why would they want to? That was how humble he was. He was an " Aw, Shucks," kind of guy...

He started out the Summer going to diners and eating like everyone else, by August he was being mobbed THREE BLOCKS DEEP with girls. He started touring all over the South full-time 1953-54. Best book you will EVER READ 'In the Twilight of Memory'. It's about him & June Juanico falling in love the Summer of 1956. He bought Graceland for her.
