Elvis most likely had Ehlers Danlos Syndrome also, which is a horrendous condition which runs in my own family. If you look at him closely he is extremely hypermobile, had severe bowel issues all his life and most of the organs in his body were affected which is part of EDS. His mother suffered the same decline the last 4 years of her life as he did. Many of her siblings and Elvis Presley's cousins died in their 40s and 30s. This coupled with head trauma in an individual with EDS would explain his suffering. He was not a drug seeker, he was seeking relief from the horrendous pain he was most likely suffering. I read the book you mention and also Destined to Die Young, both excellent. Even today people with EDS are often dismissed as drug seekers, their suffering can be immense

I have been reading some articles about all of this recently and then I came across this video. It's done in an organized and respectful way. I think it's so important to try to understand what was happening with his overall health and a more complete picture of why he was taking these things for pain.Thanks.

Not the same story but, this also made me think of actress Natasha Richardson. She was taking skiing lessons, fell and hit her head on the hard packed snow and felt ok at first but soon after, the poor woman ended up brain dead. Again, not the same story or outcome in Elvis' case but his fall and the other injuries still could have caused lasting damage to his health.

Why would you say to remember when you're sitting on the toilet time waits for no man? Why, why, why... Setting on the toilet is the only time I get any peace and quiet in my home! Yes I have to run my two German shepherds out and my wife's three cats and kids out to have this quiet moment but it's my moment! Now when I go I'll be freaking out about dying and being found with my pants around my ankles! Damn you man my one place for some sanity! Unbelievable, thank you 😁

I’ve been an RN for 24 years and once had a patient whose last official act was to push out the biggest floater into the toilet, stumble back to bed and have his heart stop. The doctor was amazed at the incredible diameter of the toilet’s contents and I had to fish it out because it wouldn’t flush. Think before you push too hard because your heart just could Vagal down and stop.

Our family good friend Msgr Malanowski the first priest/chaplain to become a brigadier general, was the one comforting Elvis through the passing of his mother. They were best friends, we have some of the letters and photos between the two. Elvis was in love with another woman, Priscilla pursued him. It wasn’t the drugs, it was his liver and colon. He had seen a dentist the night before and that dentist gave him codeine. The movie is a work of fiction, Austin Butler did an amazing job but it’s still not the full truth. His hair was pure white by age 36.

I thought his autopsy results were sealed. I think his constipation was partly the cause of death. That was caused by his awful diet and drug use. If only he could have got a trainer, and drug rehab. Retire his cook and got a personal chef. But those things weren't popular in the 70s.

The guy who wrote the article I presented, Dr. Forest Tennant, was able to use the autopsy results, as well as Elvis' private physician's (Dr. Nick), records covering a 10-year period. If you want to read that article I've put a link in the description of the video.

I use to think like this too, but if you research his horrific health there won't anything they could have done. Medical technology wasn't where they could have saved him. They didn't even have MRI's, Hell even the ambulances were SO PRIMATIVE. He was suffering from a Traumatic brain injury (one of several), even DR Nick noted it in his charts. They didn't realize what exactly happens to people with major brain injuries like that. That in turn caused an Autoimmune disease to start attacking all his major organs. Lead to his heart being twice the size, Liver & Kidney problems, hepatitis, his A1 deficiency from birth, then add in his chronic pain, his poly pharmacy, and the accidental Codine he took that night. Too many things at once for sure. His depression, self medicating, melancholy, mood swings were all exhastrubated by his Brain Injury in 1967. Dr Nick said he was never the same afterwards.

Maybe you should read " Destined to die young". Elvis had MAJOR health problems from birth. There is WAY more to that story. His mom, Grandma Doll & 6 of his 8 uncles all died in their 40's. He took perscriptions to deal with his Genetic health problems, his enlarged paralyzed colon, Glaucoma, Antitrypsin Deficiency, a condition which can result in lung and/or liver disease both of which he had severely at the time of his death. Elvis was never a smoker or drinker. He had Together with the immune system disorder, hypogammaglobulinemia, which plagued Elvis all his life and caused him to constantly fight various infections. His “inherited” weak heart, reactive arthritis, and the impact of his nocturnal lifestyle, resulting in a lack of vitamin D, the effects of which contributed to respiratory infections, reduced immune function, and inflammation. Of the 11 bodily systems that operate to keep us alive and hopefully healthy. Critically, Elvis suffered disease or disorder in nine of them! And five were present from birth and pre his fame. His heart (circulatory system), his lungs (respiratory system), and his bowels (digestive/excretory systems) required medication. Insomnia affected his nervous system……His immune system was compromised. His urinary system was not functioning properly. At one point there was even talk of dialysis. Often he is dismissed as just another rock ‘n’ roll drug addict. He wasn't taking street drugs. He was taking perscriptions not to "ESCAPE" h was taking them to try to maintain some sense of normalcy as himself in a time where the medical field was limited. No DNA, Genetics, No MRI's, little known about the addiction, his dystrophy & No understanding of Vitamin D even. Looking at the illnesses and disorders, that mounted upon each other over the decades, it’s no coincidence that Elvis’ prescription drug use increased as his health declined. From ear infections to chronic tonsilitis to recurrent flus to eye infections and glaucoma…..these arguably insignificant ailments independently, grew into something more. As his body broke down, alongside multiple immune system disorders and genetic complications, prescription medication and his handy PDR tried to fill the gaps. When that no longer worked, hospital stays became the norm and his list of ailments grew. The sicker he got, the more prescriptions he was prescribed. He was seeing a cardiologist before he bought Graceland. He was 20yrs old. They have gone through Elvis's entire life of medical records & now have an entire different story now. This was is a world leading Neurologist. He had access to Elvis' ENTIRE LIFETIME OF MEDICAL RECORDS due to the lawsuit he was the Trial specialists for the Defense of Dr Nick. He was the specialist in the MASSIVE Howard Hughes trial right before. Elvis quit performing as much because of his MAJOR HEALTH problems. He suffered a Traumatic brain injury (a series of 4 in his lifetime actually). The last one being in 1967. He tripped over a TV cord and hit his head on a porcelain tub and knocked him out for over 6hrs!!! He even seen his Mom talking to him!!! DR Nick was called in immediately and this was before MRI'S!! The most underappreciated factor in the decline of Elvis Presley's health and early death was repeated head trauma. It is now recognized that multiple head trauma can cause an autoimmune inflammatory disorder that can attack any organ in the body. Contemporary terms for the pathologic developments that may occur following head trauma are post-concussion syndrome, TBI, and chronic traumatic encephalopathy. Some of the post-trauma symptoms include memory loss, obsessive-compulsive traits, and irrational or illogical behavior.Elvis demonstrated many of these obsessive-compulsive and erratic behaviors at different times.A retrospective analysis of Elvis' head trauma clearly shows that Presley developed or accelerated his autoimmune inflammatory disease after his most serious head trauma in 1967. His previous bouts of head trauma probably contributed to his deterioration, as multiple head traumas are cumulative in effect. Autoimmunity following TBI has historically been believed to occur as a result of hypothalamic-pituitary dysfunction. A new belief is that head trauma causes brain tissue to be jarred loose, and leak into the general circulation through the blood-brain barrier.²² Brain tissue is not supposed to enter the blood circulation because it is toxic or antigenic to the rest of the body. If this truly occurs, and this author believes it does, it acts like an infectious agent or vaccine in that it causes antibodies to form. These antibodies then become "auto" and start attacking normal tissue. It's even possible these abnormal antibodies attack and further damage the brain.Elvis clearly had a disease process that had affected multiple organs-stomach, liver, spine, and eyes-but at the time, his physicians had no idea that he had a progressive autoimmune inflammatory disorder. The concept of autoimmunity was just starting to be understood. Much to his credit, Dr. Nick gave Elvis the diagnosis of post-concussion syndrome, and believed his headaches were a result of his head injury of 1967. Dr. Nick related to me that, "Elvis was never the same after he hit his head in 1967."Dr. Nick prescribed only two of the many drugs found in his serum. What no one knew at the time was that some drugs, particularly opioids, may interfere with cardiac conduction and cause a fatal, sudden heart stoppage from cardiac arrhythmia. The most notorious example is torsades de pointes, a prolongation of the QT interval, which may occur when opioids and other drugs are taken together. This toxic reaction will most likely occur in a patient with existing heart disease. Elvis' death was partially due to codeine, because he had obtained codeine from a dentist the day before his death. He took several tablets and had a serum level 10 times the therapeutic range.Just a few weeks before his death, Elvis became ill while touring in Louisiana. He developed nausea and symptoms of intestinal flu. He also had pulled a hamstring and strained his back. He entered Baptist Memorial Hospital for the fourth and last time on April 1, 1977. Anemia was found along with his chronic hepatitis, lung disease, glaucoma, congestive heart failure, Kidney & Liver disease (Dialysis was recommended), hypertension, and megacolon.

It’s a stretch to say Elvis’ single bathroom floor fall is a multiple head trauma that led to brain tissue leakage causing an autoimmune disorder. His inner circle have said that his opiate use got progressively worse after Priscilla left him in 1972. Before developing a distended colon (from excess opiate use), it’s questionable whether Elvis was in constant pain. Given Elvis’ addictive tendencies, it’s no surprise that Memphis mafia members have stated Elvis would consult his Physician’s Desk Reference to determine what symptoms he’d tell a doctor he had in order to score pain meds. Amphetamine abuse can cause symptoms including impulsive behavior, mood swings, hypertension, cardiovascular issues, insomnia, and hyperfocus. Opiate abuse can cause the intestines to stop functioning normally, contributing to distended colon. The fact Elvis was a drug addict doesn’t take away from his legacy as one of the greatest performers.

I have read that he did have multiple head trauma, you can look it up. Football, roughhouse roller skating games, punched in the face on two separate occasions, plus the hitting head on bathtub. From what I read it said all that is cumulative. This was all documented by the physician in the video who wrote a book about it. He said he doesn't care if people buy the book, but just wants the info. out there in case it can help other cases. I never heard of this book until I read an article about it. Believe what you will. The Dr. said that the drugs also played a part.

Elvis has actually had colon and bowel movement problems since he was a baby. True amphetamines changes behavior and confidence. But the Memphis Mafia themselves have stated that the head trauma Elvis had in 1967 changed him dramatically, not just Dr. Nick. And the multiple head traumas where traumas he had from fights starting in the 50s. 1967 wasn't the first but it was a very very serious one

There are at least 4 documented instances of Elvis suffering head trauma as an adult. While some of those instances may seem minor, it’s important to note that even minor brain damage from head traumas can lead to significant consequences. In 1956, Elvis was knocked in the head during a fight at a gas station. Also in 1956, Elvis was struck in the head by a man at a hotel bar. In 1958, he was repeatedly knocked down throughout some rough roller skating “war games”; these were so rough that Elvis provided each player with an oxycodone/aspirin pill. The last, and most severe, head trauma occurred in 1967 when Elvis fell and hit his head hard on a porcelain bathtub and was knocked unconscious. After these incidents, as we now know is common with even mild traumatic brain injuries, Elvis’s behavior changed. He became erratic and irrational. He would refuse to bathe, take unknown pills, and complain of headaches, insomnia and pain all over. Elvis’s decline in health and increase in drug abuse may be attributed in large part to having suffered a TBI. Similarly, some of the health issues Elvis suffered, including infections and pain, may have stemmed from Autoimmune Inflammatory Disease that developed or was accelerated as a result of his head traumas. Autoimmune Inflammatory Disease occurs when brain tissue is leaked into the general blood circulation. This tissue is toxic to the rest of the body and when leaked, the antibodies start attacking normal tissue throughout the body. This can cause pain all over the body, including the spine, joints and muscles. It’s possible Elvis was using drugs to self-medicate and manage this pain. If Elvis or his family had known he was suffering from an autoimmune disease, brought on by traumatic brain injuries, is it possible he could have received treatment rather than relying on drugs to self-medicate? Could he have been saved? While we can’t change history, we can learn from the past and work to prevent others from suffering the same fate in the future by knowing the facts about TBI. TBIs can cause paranoia, reclusive behavior, poor hygiene, hostility and drug use. An Autoimmune Inflammatory Disease can cause headaches as well as pain throughout the body, and many patients are misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia.

Have you ever watched a video that goes on to ask what's the most important part of the body ? Well at the end it said the asshole because if it stops doing it's job everything in the body starts shutting down. The coroner said his body was backed up with 4 months of hard shit !!! His asshole killed him ! And opiods do this you can get constipated and with his heart being enlarged that was another factor that lead to his death. Straining to take a shit killed him. I take pain opiods and I once dealt with the constipation so bad I'd say as big as a can of food. I was on the toilet for about 2 hours and at once my daughter came to try helping and said I was as white as a ghost. After that I watched what I ate better. What a sad way for him to die.
