❤ I was a little girl of 5/6 when I first fell for Elvis' voice and songs. Through the years he stayed, entertaining my heart together with so many others whom my parents listened to. Then I was 17 and sitting in my father's car with the love if my life listening to music...yes it turned out to be lifelong, but I lost him to another. This particular song played aswell. Now, I am 70 and stìll feel the pain of summer's kisses that went to tears! 💔

Everything about Elvis is timeless. He stole so many hearts. He was beautiful and yes he had the looks, charisma and personality that set him above and beyond all others, but his kind self was beautiful. So when someone says Elvis was beautiful they aren’t only referring to the good looks, they are referring to his kind heart and soul as well.

This is a very beautiful song and one of my favourite songs. I heard this song first when I was in high school and loved this song ever since. I have heard this song innumerable times and have only longed to listen to the song more. During high school days I listened to the audio version and years later the music video. The lyrics were very well written. The music composition was excellent. The song is truly unforgettable. Thanks a lot.

Brenda, I'm glad that Elvis is now - and from the start has been - embraced by folks from the South. That's compensation - somewhat - for the fact that many people have rejected Elvis outright precisely because he is from the South. These people assume that Elvis - as a poor white guy from Tupelo - must be a bigot and an ignoramus. That's why people like Steve Allen looked down their noses at Elvis. Same with Sinatra. They couldn't get past their prejudice.

I never did like Elvis and his songs but after watching the film Elvis, this song was played at the end and I find it beautiful and sad. I don't know why this song was never popular but after you hear it at the end of Elvis film, it gives you the feeling how sad it is and especially Lisa and her mother attended the show and Lisa died after 2 days later. How tragic. May she rest in peace and she can be with her father together again.
