It is Matthau. Apparently EP asked him for acting pointers. Walter told him he had good instincts and to keep doing what he was doing.

He could really act and contrary to what he himself believed he could have been as good as James Dean. In fact Dean was originally suppose to do this movie but was killed in a car crash. this to me, his best of all 31 of his movies. I saw this in the theater and all the girls screamed when he came on the screen. That is Walter, in fact the lady was Carolyn Jones the star of the Munsters. She was a good actress. Thanks for doing this, there are a lot of great songs in his movies. In "Loving You" a song called ""Mean Woman Blues", that will blow your socks off he dances a lot. Thanks for this great reaction.

James Dean was planned for this role, but sadly he died in a car accident. They changed the plot for Elvis and this amazing movie ( his best in my opinion) was the result. I like all songs in there. Great reaction! Thank you!💚☀️

Michael Curtiz(CASABLANCA) directed this "Harold Robbins" best selling novel "A Stone for Danny Fisher" that was meant for "James Dean" but was shelved after his death and Walter Matthau in a 1987 interview said Curtiz used to call me "Valty" and Elvis "Elvy", he said "Valty you are an high price actor, make like you are a low price actor, don't act so much, let Elvy act" but says Matthau "Elvy didn't overact, he was intelligent and very sophisticated". Of the 31 scripted movies Presley made, "King Creole", "Flaming Star" and "Follow That Dream" are undoubtedly his finest films, where the rest of his movies are rated in order of merit is a debateable matter.

Great scene and great reaction. All of the music from that movie is really good. Also, anything from the 68 Special. My favorite is "Lawdy, Miss Clawdy " 1970 LasVegas has so many great performances, too.

REACTION REQUEST: If you enjoyed that movie scene/song, I think you may enjoy Mean Woman Blues. It is from Elvis’ 2nd movie, Loving You. Here is a link to the full scene & song kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6O2anWMjLKYpas. BTW, King Creole, the movie Trouble is from, was Elvis’ 4th movie. He has to request a deferment for his army call up until the movie was completed. Elvis spent 2 years in Uncle Sam’s army as a regular soldier from March 1958, at the height of his career, until March 1960. He spent almost 18 months in Germany during his army stint. On his return to the US he picked up his career where he left off … on top!

Yes it’s Walter Matthau and she was Morticia on the Adam’s family. The other young boy was Vic Morrow who was a great actor but was killed filming a movie by a helicopter crashing and decapitating him and killing 2 children with him. As you can imagine, lawsuits galore. He played on a series called Combat also. This movie was one of Elvis’s best and was taken from a novel by Harold Robbin’s. King Creole showed Elvis’s ability to do a dramatic role and some great songs were in it too. You won’t be disappointed. 😊😊❤❤

Omg! I never knew that's what happened to Morrow! 🙏
@Jeri_C114 ай бұрын
@@Sunny-jz3dy Yes, it was awful. He tried to save the children. They were using too many pyrotechnics and the helicopter went down in water where they were. The children were not supposed to be acting at nighttime. So, you can imagine all the lawsuits. If you Google it, they have videos of what happened because they were recording it at the time. Plus lots of media because it was a big deal at the time. Nice chatting with an Elvis fan. ❤️🎸🕺🏻💔😢

Great reaction! new sub here Elvis was only 23 when he played this role & did a heck of a job! I think it's one of his best roles.... he felt the same way. Sadly, after he got out of the Army ...his manager sold him to the highest bidder for movies.... that were all fluff & no substance. He could've really gone far with his acting......if given the chance.

Your video wasn't even one minute in and you'd already indulged in your nicotine addiction twice. Is it impossible to do a video just shy of 12 minutes without the need for a nicotine fix? At that second puff, I stopped watching. If your addiction is so severe you cannot work for even 12 minutes without getting your fix...seek professional help.
@Shakes-P9 ай бұрын
Are you referring to my non-nicotine vape? Let's focus on more important matters. It's disheartening to see negativity on a channel dedicated to supporting 500 orphaned children, especially since I abstain from drinking, drugs, smoking, or vaping nicotine, and even censor my videos for viewers aged 18 and above. Despite this, I'm criticized for my choices. I believe I'm quite stable and don't not sny require professional help, but thank you for attempting to belittle me for making choices that differ from yours.
