Loved your reaction very much Elvis was the best friend i ever had in my entire life. we met when i was very young but our friendship lasted past that one day in time. 10 yrs to be exact up until his death i asked nothing of him he asked nothing from me except friendship without Elvis i don't know where i would be today. All the memories of my friend are tucked safe in my heart forever. dancing and singing breaks my heart because i know he is not here anymore my mind understands but my heart never will, i saw him a few weeks before he passed we had a short conversation which i will never share again because people are so nasty and comment hurtful heart breaking things they do not know me but they still can't keep their mouths closed about things they know nothing about. I walk past Graceland everyday love from Memphis Tn.

That's a very sad statement if your human you cant NOT know what everyone is going through. The problem isn't not knowing its not giving a damn. If you truly care about anyone else ask them what the problem is and then stick around to hear the answer most give lip service and pretend to care because it makes them look good in the eyes of the world but in reality they dont really care and they dont really want to hear it.... so the world goes to shit and people really have the nerve to ask why well that's just bull shit and everyone knows its bull shit too but nobody says anything because everyone's doing the same thing and no one wants to be shown as a shallow a hole so they never expose anyone else who's doing it either. This is why we are where we are and exactly why we will never be anything more or better then we are right now and that's a vary sad thing for the whole of humanity were a sorry lot we are aren't we. It makes us all want to throw the covers over our heads and pray we die in our sleep... or is that just me?

I got to see Elvis in 1976, he was even better in person, if you can imagine that! He was sick looking and overweight but when he opened his mouth to sing there was no mistaking what a genius he was, my Mom used to watch him play basketball at the YWCA in Memphis back in about 1955, she didn’t care for him because she was just a young girl (17) who grew up on a farm in Arkansas during the Great Depression. He had a reputation for being “different” because he sang and danced like a black man and drove all the white girls crazy and that scared the conservative parents of the 50s, she’s 83 now and I’m enjoying her stories from her youth more and more. You’re a good decent and kind man Jamal, we could use a few more like you.
@sgumper43753 жыл бұрын
@@SouthernArtist77 You might want to get her on video or tape. My biggest regret is not writing the stuff Mom told me about our family and what she did as a young girl. I still remember some. Elvis was my idol when I was growing up & he was a true role model. I know that “towards the end” he kind of fell off the rails somewhat but lord almighty... When he stood onstage & had the spotlight focused squarely on him, he COMMANDED attention & more often than not, got it. Sure, he had his share of “haters” (don’t we all?), but for those who will always love & idolise him & his music, he will forever be the 1 & only KING ✊️👑... LONG LIVE THE KING!!! 👑👑👑

Elvis was a born again Christian.After he was saved, he wanted to share with with others.Now, he and family were dirt poor, but this nine year old Christian gave away all his precious comic books.Then he gave away his bicycle but his parents retrieved it, explaining to the kid's parents the situation.Not much later he gave away his bicycle once again.Vernon and Glady gave up getting it back.Elvis' sharing his wealth started young.If he saw your need, he tried to fill it. He loved making people happy. He never once took a tax deduction for his charity and giving.He wanted the gift to come straight from him. He truly loved everyone and would by pass a famous person first, preferring to befriend ordinary people.There never will be another Elvis. His humanity is one tremendous reason why he is so loved 44 years since his passing.
