Elvis scares backup singer

in the movie "Elvis: that's the way it is" (rehearsals and show in Vegas 1970) Elvis walks up to a background singer and scares her while singing. Big kid, he always was :)
I let it run til the end not because the vamp of "Suspicious Minds" is that interesting, but it's great to see him do a song that fits him, to see how he's not just a singer but a band leader - his movements are those of a dancing&singing orchestra conductor. It's the one but last song of the show and he's giving it all he's got.
The singing's really live, (in these days you had to be capable of singing to become a star, yesh) the footage is taken from different shows as you can tell from the buttons of his jacket. Bad continuity :)
Not an Elvis fan but enjoyed the movie.

When I watch this performance I remember the time I saw him in person in concert live around 50 years ago at that moment of that memory I feel right back there and feel just as though I’m living that moment right this second. I will forever be grateful I had a great older sister who knew just how much I loved Elvis and she made it possible to see him live because bought tickets for us to see him. I was not told until we actually got to his concert and drove into the parking lot of the concert. My sister past away suddenly with no warning at age 47 in 2002. I lost My Mom in 2005 and my other older sister at age 57 of a massive heart attack. She had never had any indication of a heart problem but the doctors believe that her type 2 diabetes most likely contributed to her heart attack. I will forever remember these 3 great ladies of my life. They were, are and forever be my idols and I strive everyday for them to look down and be proud of me. Forever thankful my pre ious angels. To clarify, Elvis wasn't on coke, whether the pills were affecting him or not is a different story, but Elvis was also an entertainer who loved to make people laugh and could have been hyped up at the time, the world may never know. edit: I do not think Elvis was a golden boy, yes, he was addicted to drugs, but its documented that they were all prescription. He thought it was okay due to that, but it wasn't. Elvis was strongly against illegal drugs. But that doesn't mean he wasn't "doing drugs" per say, it was just all prescription.

If fame ever destroyed a person, it was Elvis Presley. He was just humble man from humble beginnings who had a kind heart. The prestige blindsided him and eventually unleashed his inner demons. Sometimes I believe he would of been more happy and content if he had stayed on at Crown Electric. Great man and entertainer, I always feel a tinge of sadness, however fleeting, when I watch him. Rest In Peace

Maizeak I don’t normally get in comment section discussions; they are seldom productive or worthwhile, but I’ll reply to you because I do have a lot to say about this, and Elvis in general. But to directly address what you said, about him having a teenage wife; this is somewhat true. Priscilla was a teenager when they met, but a legal adult when they married. But in my opinion, what’s far worse than liking young girls and tickling (that always makes me cringe), is that he was as unfaithful as one could possibly be. He was also a fan of horse tranquilizers, among many other narcotics. To put it simply, he was a cheating drug addict. Because he was a human being. With flaws. Flaws I personally detest. That doesn’t mean he isn’t one of the greatest singers of all time. I’m a big fan of Elvis. Not as a man, but as a musician. And I can separate the two. Maybe had he murdered or raped someone, or done something truly heinous like that, I wouldn’t be able to. But he didn’t. He didn’t murder or rape anyone (as far as I know). But he did hurt himself and the people around him (especially Priscilla), and I hate him for that. But I love his music. And for all his flaws, like any human being, he had his redeemable characteristics. From what I’ve heard and read about him, he was very kind, extremely generous (almost to a fault; the people in his life definitely used him for his money. I’m looking at you, Andreas Cornelius Van Kujik), a friend to non-whites, a loving son/father, and incredibly appreciative of his fans. Among many other things. What I’m trying to get at is that he was a human being. An extremely talented one, but a human being nonetheless. And we as human beings have flaws. Elvis was no exception.
