can anyone tell me what this type of ritual James Burton is doing at 6 .10 and 6,.25 is it a respect thing between musicians or is he choosing a plectrum

He does use a pick and a second and third finger in an almost finger-picking style at times. My older brother knew him well and we got him to play on my Gibson acoustic. Phenomenal player who never tried to show off. He was a top session player in Los Angeles in the 70s with the Wrecking Crew.

The musicians are good! James Burton and the Piano player are great. But the singers are terrible. Still worth the watch for Burton
